I've got carbon filter sponges. I've removed these and added the treatment. When can I put these sponges back in as it's the only sponges I have

I would leave it 48 hours myself. If yr worried about the sponges drop them in a bowl of water to keep them wet. I keep discus and u w il do no harm. Let the meds do their job an give it 2 days. Regards. B

Can it be used alongside tap safe

As far as I know it is fine with tap safe or any of the other de-chlorinators and water conditioners, I did not experience any problems with this, it works very effectively if used per instructions.

Is it harmful to bio filter?

No. but will kill shrimp and possibly snail if you use enough of it
