Durable, smooth dial, and don't need a key.
I own a bunch of different locks. One thing they all have in common are the Brinks and / or Hampton name. These are reputable companies that have been around for years. I have commercial, residential, and travel locks. All of my other locks require a key besides my fingerprint luggage lock. This dial combination lock has a cut resistance of 3,500 lbs and a pry resistance of 600 lbs. It's not the strongest or the weakest lock I own. I chose it because I wanted something that I could open without worrying about having to carry a key with me. I have a toolbox that I don't want my neices or nephews getting into when they visit. It annoys me when I run out to my tool shed and realize I forgot the key to my toolbox in my house. Now, if I'm outside working and need to grab a tool, I can just turn the dial, and I'm in. This is a versatile lock. All of my other locks are too thick for this toolbox. The shackle on this lock is thin enough to fit my toolbox and long enough to fit a thick chain. When I first opened the package and tried this lock with the included combination, it was nostalgic. I had a flash back of high school, and it brought up some great memories. This lock is lightweight, feels durable, and the dial turns smoothly. If you are like me and forget or lose your keys, often give this lock a try. It's great for lockers at school, work, or the gym. It's also handy for locking up toolboxes, bikes, or any other situation where you need a padlock.

Feels like a quality product
I needed a lock for the gym, and opted for a combination lock. I've always thought they were fun, secure and the best option for a lock (I hate carrying excess keys). This one so far has not disappointed. It's glides smoothly as you turn the dial. You will need to give it a bit of a yank to open it once you've put in your combination, the latch won't just pop out of the lock. But that's just an observation, not a critique. It's been a while since I've utilized one of these, and thats probably always been a requirement for combination locks. Surprisingly, I didn't get any of the color options listed, I got pink, which I love!

Fun!
This is not your average lock! The color pops and is a nice change from your average lock. I could see this being handy for kids in school - quick and easy way to find your locker. A lot of times companies will sacrifice quality for looks, but this lock is hefty! Confident that it will secure my things.

Good combo lock
Ferls high quality. I put it on my storage locker so I don't have to worryabout somebody needing the key or losing the key. Thecolor finish looks good. The size is right feels a bitlight but strong. But all in all seems like a good lock. Easy to use.

I thought Brinks was a good brand
I bought this to replace a similar Masterlock locker lock (sorry, I had to) because it started being difficult to close up and after very little time owning it. This one is significantly worse right out of the box. It is hard to close AND hard to open. Both locks were inexpensive and I understand that you get what you pay for, but I just needed something for my locker at school; Iβm a 40-something non traditional student, so Iβve had some experience. I found the quality to be terrible and a new lock should at least get the job done without a struggle.I went back to using the crappy Masterlock as it was the better choice of the 2 by far, & that is saying something. I wonβt buy a 3rd lock hoping for better quality, but if I need a new one, I wonβt be buying this.
