As you can see I had a red I my hair. Unfortunately I woke up to extremely greasy hair this morning so it doesn't quite do the justice of how red it was. I could've lived with it though, had the dye given full coverage. It ended up an extremely patchy job on top of the fact the colour hadn't quite turned out as expected. I wanted a deeper mahogany and when it's freshly washed it's quite a garish red. So! After reading through a lot of the comments about this colour removal product I decided to go for it so I didn't have to go out with my hair looking like crap. If you're used to dying your hair from a box, then the instructions are extremely easy to follow. It's pretty much the exact same process. I was expecting the product to be stinking. I was expecting the product to attack my chest. I'm an asthmatic smoker and my asthma has been playing up along with my hayfever. The product did smell. But it wasn't stinking. Ammonia based hair dye smells worse. So this stuff was bearable. It also didn't really affect my breathing. I wrapped my head in clingfilm then puta towel on top for good measure and I left the product in for approximately 45mins then began the rinse process. No colour came away during the rinse and I wasn't sure if this was normal or not (I can now only assume it is) and I panicked a little. It wasn't until applying the buffer that my hair felt dry and almost brittle. So after I had rinsed that off, I took the advice of many on here, and applied a little conditioner. Then completed the next rinse process. I didn't put on any conditioner after this step as I bought a conditioning hair mask just for this which has left my hair silky soft (not quite as soft as it usually is after a shower) and smelling strongly of bananas. I knew from other comments that the red wouldn't completely lift and I was likely to be left with a gingery-blonde colour. It's gone more of an ash blonde which I can definitely live with for a few weeks to give my hair a rest before I dye it again. I plan on going back to my natural colour. Or as close as I can get. Im 37 with salt and pepper hair. My hair type is a mixed bag I'm afraid, it's thick, thin and fine as well as curly and frizzy. Genuinely got a full hybrid of both my parents hair. It can vary between dry and greasy. I can sometimes leave it several days before it needs to be washed. Or I sometimes have to wash it daily. Using hair products, blow dryers or straitners doesn't have an affect on how my hair wants to be that day. Overall this product worked incredibly well, lifting all the red tone from my hair. It didn't smell as bad as I expected and it didn't attack my already weak lungs. I would recommend conditioning at least once in between rinses and putting on a conditioning hair mask. 10/10 from me

Excellent product, but there's a few things you need to know!
I bought this to remove box dye from my hair. However it's a bit tricky because underneath the box dye (2 applications) I have henna and the instructions tell you not to use of you have henna on your hair. Anyway, I've researched this quite a bit so went ahead. Firstly, the henna I used was pure henna so didn't contain metallic salts, this is how I knew I'd be ok. Secondly the henna had been allows about six months ago. Thirdly I did a trial test on some hair. The remover worked to shrink and remove box dye molecules, so I knew it wouldn't remove the henna. It worked really well, but I only left it on for 30 minutes as I'd done a patch test on some hair. (If you have a hair brush with hair on, use that rather than cutting some hair off your head, or doing a strand test - as long as the hair is recent and you haven't got years of build up, it'll work. You just use the remover, DONT use the buffer. You can see the results from just the remover!). I mixed equal dollops of the A and B bottle, using an old Calpol syringe - which I after threw away. Theno wrapped the hair in cling film and tucked it down my top to keep body warm. I checked on it after 20 mins and it had already lightered. After 30 it was even lighter. Some tips To *stop the smell* ... Use lukewarm water. Warmer water (warmer hairdryer and other heat tools) heat up the hair and it makes the smell worse. I didn't have much smell as I used everything on cool setting. Rinsing - aim for 10 mins on the first rinse and at least 5 on the second. Trust me, it's worth it. If you can't stand being bored, take a book or your phone, set a timer and it goes quicker. Consider doing two applications or splitting how you do it. I did the application like I was dying hair for the first time, so my roots are much lighter (I expected it would be). But if it thought about it, I'd have done the lengths first then applied to the top/ roots You can rinse with apple cider vinegar to help get rid of the smell. I considered this but as I'd used cooler water all through, I barely had any smell so don't need to. After the second buffer I washed and conditioned my hair. I'm super surprised how soft my hair is and good condition. I was expecting strawlike afterwards. I use Harsh shampoo and conditioner and they are amazing. No nasties) I've only done one application but if I do another one then, I'll do lengths first. I am going to henna my hair in about a week, and then use indigo powder to make it more brown. I wanted to remove the box dye first as it was really dark (too dark, making me look washed out). I followed the instructions to a t and I knew it would likely to me out patchy or lighter on places. I hadn't died my hair for three years when I used henna (twice). I only used a box dye on top for quickness but regretted it, but used again to cover orange buts. I get orange hair at the front of my head from when I fake tan so I need to colour in those little bits. Henna takes ages, especially if you indigo afterwards but I guess in future I need to just do those sections and not the whole head. I will update once I recolour my hair (to report on how it goes). If you're looking for a colour remover this is great. Yep it stinks, but I wore a shower cap, and found cooler water meant it didn't smell much (I was expecting to have to wash my hair half a dozen times to get rid of the smell, I was suprised when I didn't need to). I have added photos to help show the difference. I am aware the after photo shows that my hair is a bit patchy on places, but as I'm re-covering, this should be noticeable. If I decide not to redye, then a second removal will help sort this out too. But I'd focus on the lengths.

It does work on dark hair, fabulous.
Absolutely brilliant, had bought a hair dye from Temu, supposed to be light brown, but ended up nearly black, serves me right for buying cheap dye shampoo. To be fair it did dye my hair and skin black... Anyhow I was searching for a dye remover and JoBaz got good reviews so figured why not. It is simple to use, jyst like a normal two part mix, you get plenty enough for shoulder length thick hair, but be prepared for the God awful smell, like rotten eggs on a bad day. The tedious part is the washing wich is necessary to remove the colour particles, 10 minutes rinsing then you use half the bottle of buffer which is essentially shampoo, wait another 10 minutes rinse and apply the rest of the buffer and wait 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly. I didn't need to use the whole bottle of buffer, it gathers quite well. I can still smell the solution but not as bad. As I said my hair was quite dark and I left it on for an hour, it really has lightened it to light ginger at the front and slightly darker at the back, which I'm not fussed about. Please ignore the grey hair in the pics as I wanted strip the dark colour before applying a lighter colour, which I will do in a few days, so I shall not be leaving the house until then lol.

Not perfect but very good.
Although it didn't remove the colour completely the shade I was left with was better than the one I got in the first place. The product does have a bit of an "eggy" smell but not too bad, and the buffer you use as the last application smells nice. Surprisingly, my hair has remained in good condition, despite colouring and removing the dye fairly soon afterwards. I'm not sure if another application would take out more of the colour but, to be honest, I'm happier with it as it is and I don't want any more disasters. I would but it again, bearing in mind that it might not return my hair to it's original colour straight away.

Worth the smell 😆
I haven't used a colour remover in maybe 15 or more years, but after going from blonde to brown, I regretted it massively. My hair dresser refused to bleach it for fear of damage but I couldn't leave it, I really didn't even like looking in the mirror. So I came looking for a colour remover to be a bit more gentle, before doing my own bleach job. All at my own risk then 🫣 I remember how bad these things can smell, rotten eggs. Now I can honestly say, yes it smells and yes it has the eggy smell, but it is not as overwhelming as it was way back then. Just get rid of everything as soon as you're done with it, or it'll stink out the bathroom! Anyway, did it work?! Yes! Obviously I'm not the bright blonde I was, but my hair is now a very light brown and hopefully now, it won't need as much bleach. I'm feeling more like myself again. My hair strangely feels much nicer and even softer than before. I didn't shed any hair from using this product. Once I had air dried it for about 2 hours, I used a low heat on my hairdryer and then straightened it, and my hair feels lovely. After using the "buffer" wash and rinsed etc, I did put some conditioner on and left for 5 or so minutes. Only word of caution, do not panic when you see it fresh out of the shower, wet hair looks very different to dry. Initially, it looked like I had bright orange roots, but I thankfully don't! A really good product, just manage your expectations and remember to go on what is already on your hair, if you have been dying your hair dark for a while, it will not suddenly look really light. I have been bleach blonde for a long time, which is why I was reasonably confident that this would help shift the bulk of the brown. I would recommend this as a good way of starting a lightening process 😊

Worked so well, would recommend
As you can see from the photos, the item does the job so well - it stripped my dyed copper-red colour back to a more natural, dark blonde in one use. The smell isn’t pleasant but it’s absolutely bearable and doesn’t linger on the hair once the you’ve rinsed and used the colour buffer. Genuinely I’m very impressed, this product was amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

works great but the horrible smell never leaves?
The hair colour was removed more then I had expected (red/purple) that is the plus. But after washing my hair a few times and it has still this horrible smell is really anoying.

Strong remover, very good
I never usually bother to leave a review, but I was so impressed with how this hair I remove remover stripped the colour out of my hair. I’ve had three years worth of permanent neon orange box from various brands on my hair. I’ve then decided to dye it a dark brown. This remover was able to strap off a lot of the dark Colour and also some of the remaining orange. The product did smell really bad and has seemed to linger on my hair and my skin, even though I’ve showered thoroughly. My hair does feel a bit dry, but not as dry as I was expecting it too. Even though the product smells bad and is drying and probably not very good for your hair I would definitely recommend recommended as my hair has layers upon layers of bleach box dye orange box dye and brown dye
