Excellent moisture meter for keeping container plants perfectly hydrated
Getting a quick, accurate assessment of soil hydration has never been simpler than with this XLUX Soil Moisture Meter. One of its absolute best features is that it requires absolutely no batteries or electricity to operate. You simply insert the probe into the soil, and it gives you an instant, real-time reading on the clear, colour-coded display dial. The scale is incredibly easy to read at a glance, divided into three distinct, user-friendly zones: Red (dry, 1-3), Green (moist, 4-7), and Blue (wet, 8-10). It is a brilliantly simple, fuss-free design that is always ready to use right out of the box. The build quality is excellent, with a durable plastic housing and a sturdy metal probe that doesn't bend easily when pushed into firmer soil. To keep it working perfectly and accurately, all it takes is a quick wipe of the probe with a clean, dry cloth immediately after each use—it shouldn't be left submerged in water or left in damp soil for long periods. Given the low price point, this simple tool offers phenomenal value for money by saving you from either underwatering or accidentally drowning your garden. It is an absolute five-star must-have for any gardener's toolkit.

This soil moisture meter is amazing. I wasn't sure whether to water my plants or not and I used this soil meter to see and I was really surprised. It certainly saves my plants from being too dry or waterlogged. A great gadget for all your plants. It reads well, I like the size and appearance too. Worth buying I'd say.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Soil Moisture Meter
I recently purchased the XLUX Soil Moisture Meter, Plant Water Monitor, and Hygrometer, and it has proven to be a very helpful tool for maintaining my plants' health. Here’s my detailed review: What I Like: - Accurate Readings: The moisture meter provides accurate and consistent readings. It helps me determine the precise moisture level in the soil, ensuring that I water my plants appropriately. - Easy to Use: The device is very user-friendly. Simply insert the probe into the soil, and the moisture level is displayed instantly. No batteries or complicated setup are required. - Clear Display: The analog display is easy to read, with clear markings that indicate whether the soil is dry, moist, or wet. This straightforward design makes it simple to understand the moisture status at a glance. - Versatile Use: The meter is suitable for a wide range of plants, both indoors and outdoors. I’ve used it for houseplants, garden beds, and even potted herbs, and it works well in all scenarios. - Durable Construction: The probe and overall construction feel sturdy and well-made. It has held up well to repeated use and insertion into different types of soil. What I Dislike: - Probe Length: The probe could be a bit longer for deeper pots or garden beds. While it’s sufficient for most indoor plants and smaller pots, it might not reach the root zone of larger plants or deep garden beds. - No Additional Features: The device measures only soil moisture. It would be more versatile if it included additional measurements like soil pH or light levels. However, for its intended purpose, it works perfectly. Value for Money: The XLUX Soil Moisture Meter offers good value for money. Its accuracy, ease of use, and durability make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their plant care routine. Conclusion: Overall, I am very satisfied with the XLUX Soil Moisture Meter, Plant Water Monitor, and Hygrometer. It provides reliable moisture readings and is incredibly easy to use. Despite minor limitations like the probe length and lack of additional features, it excels at its primary function of monitoring soil moisture. I would recommend this product to any plant enthusiast or gardener looking for a dependable tool to help maintain optimal watering practices. Would I buy it again? Yes!

Quick and easy to use
It arrived today, used it this evening and very pleased to discover it's fast! Thought I'd have to leave it in each flower pot a while to gauge but the second it has contact with water the scale moves. A game changer for saving time, saving water and having healthier plants :)

Perfect device to know where water is needed!
With the Uk heatwave purchased this to ensure only watering where needed - I have 60 roses! Chose this as no batteries needed which in my eyes means less things to go wrong with the device as it will get a lot of use so if I need soil PH or other testing abilities I’d purchase something else for those. I’m using kitchen roll to wipe in between each test. It has been really accurate and quite surprising - areas of the garden I thought that would be dry were moist including some pots I’d been watering daily without needing to. Also discovered some very dry zones I wasn’t aware of. I have a mix of clay/chalk soil so moisture retention varies a lot. Really pleased with purchase, will save me time watering only where needed and do my bit to save water!

WARNING: This Device Leaves A Body Count!
If you are looking for a plant water monitor failure story, look no further. This gadget was useful for 6 months but despite meticulous care, it developed a complete and utter soil moisture sensor malfunction. What Possessed Me To Buy It I love plants. Unfortunately, I was not gifted with "green fingers." That’s why I bought the XLUX Soil Moisture Meter - I needed a technological translator to tell me if my Ficus was thirsty or just being dramatic. For six glorious months, it was a dream. My ferns were lush, and I walked around with the smug confidence of a person who actually understands the phrase "moist but well-drained." Then, the XLUX entered its "Goth Phase." Suddenly, every plant in my house was "Dry." I’m talking Sahara-at-high-noon dry. I’d read that the metal probes can oxidise, so I was a model citizen: I wiped it dry after every single use. I’ve inspected the tip for rust, and it’s as shiny as a new 20 pence piece. There is no physical evidence of decay - just a complete and utter loss of its will to live. Last night, I plunged the probe into my watering can. To my horror, I learned the water I had been supplying was apparently not wet! I understand people may have a difficult time trusting the word of someone who, by her own admission, has a poor track record with plants. But I have photographic evidence: the meter stays firmly on "Dry" even when submerged in a glass of water. To ensure this wasn't just a "user error" or a fluke, I conducted two cross checks. First I dried the probe thoroughly and placed it in a glass of water. Result dry. Then I did a Soil Cross-Check: I tested it in soil I had just saturated until it was muddy. Result: "Dry." I’ve checked the laws of physics, and I’m fairly certain the mud and the water in the glass should register as “wet”. Sadly, because I trusted this gadget more than my own common sense, a few more of my plants officially bit the dust. They didn't just die; they were drowned in a sea of good intentions, founded on the belief that they should be watered because the meter said they were parched. Pros: • No batteries needed: Great for the environment, unfortunately not so great for the plants. • Provides the unique service of alerting you when your water isn't wet. Cons: • Accuracy Issues: Does not believe in the existence of water • Durability Issues: Failed after 6 months, despite decent maintenance • Leaves a body count: My plant cemetery needs a new wing If you’re like me and were relying on this to compensate for a lack of gardening talent, be warned: you might be better off sticking your thumb in the soil to test it.

Also absolute Kaufempfehlung für diesen nützlichen Helfer.
