Works Instantly
Although we have only recently put a small pond in our garden with a waterfall feature the water soon turned green from the sun. Having looked around on Amazon for a product to get rid of the unsightly green I saw this black liquid dye from Hydra a company who make their products in Milton Keynes near where we live. We put in 20ml and swirled it around the pond water and instantly the ghastly green disappeared and the black pond liner was once again shiny and black. It does look a little strange coming out of the clear pipe from the pond but it doesn’t stain the granite stones we have used for our waterfall feature. Very impressed with the product as a little goes a long way so should last years.

Perfect black
Both this to use in a two pond feature which has a lions head water feature. Works really well. Nice deep black and no staining. It was important to find one that didn't harm animals or birds and this does the job perfectly. Best to use the minimum amount first and increase if it's not black enough.

What a brilliant idea, wildlife don’t seem to mind it.
Saw the use of dye on TV so tried it and it works! It’s a small pool and kept getting blanket weed- this seems to stop it. Found I needed to re add the dye though, hence 4 not 5. Not sure if it is cos dye breaks down or it gets diluted by rain water

Works A Treat!
We purchased this dye to colour the water in an ornamental pond which has a fountain, so we wanted to cover up the pump/filter unit. It looks amazing, does the job, and you can still see the pond lights through the coloured water of an evening! :)

Effective and aesthetically pleasing
Used to reduce UV exposure for pond algae and restrict visibility of fish from herons. So far so good

Lovely finish
Excellent service. Works a treat. Originally I posted that the instructions warned about using with fish, due to light levels, but apparently this was a misprint. So I have used the product and it certainly gives a lovely finish to the pond. The fish appear happy too. Can definitely recommend.

does what is says on the bottle
Great pond dye makes it a black pool, plants still grow up through including water lillys, has eliminated the pond /blanket weed that caused my issues well worth the money

It says what it will do
I cannot comment yet as the water feature has been drained down for the winter,maybe more stars after its been put to use.
