Polti Vaporetto SV440_Double 2- in-1 Steam Mop with Handheld Cleaner, Vaporforce Brush, 11 Accessories

Straight out of the box it looked very flimsy and unsubstantial. It was much lighter than my previous 2 vax steam mops and I thought I had made a mistake in purchasing it. I also discovered that you couldn’t add a cleaning fluid like my previous ones. What I thought was a cleaning fluid option was purely to add a fragrance. The one designed for it is expensive for what it is and according to reviews I read didn’t last very long so I have not bothered in buying it. However, having used it for a few weeks I’m very pleased with its performance. It cleans floors well and doesn’t leave the surface too wet. The design is also very good, there is a scrubber on the heel of the mop head which is easily employed without the need to detach anything, the cord winder is much more sturdy unlike my last Vax one which broke off almost immediately. It’s also much lighter than the vax which I wasn’t keen on at first but I’ve come to appreciate how much more manoeuvrable it is. The power cable is a little short compared with others but is a minor thing and the water reservoir could be a bit bigger but all in all a good product.

On the whole a very good machine and very effective, and yes I would buy it again despite some of the niggling points. It does clean the hard floors beautifully (better when using a different brand pad though).I have had 3 previous steam cleaners over the last 15 years and would have to say this is the easiest and lightest to use and I am amazed how much direct comes off each time/week (in the first week I used it every day and still got a dirty pad each time!).So, I have waited a few months to add a review, to make sure I had gotten used to it.I would be embarrassed to say how many hours I wasted trying to choose this replacement steamer and how many reviews I read ( a number of which were quite misleading e.g. someone was obviously trying to fill up the water reservoir using the wrong hole!). The Polti website could do with a revamp to make it easier to compare or even filter on features across models, I had to phone up customer services at the end and even they struggled.Plus points:+ It cleans the hard floors beautifully+ It is very easy to refill and pretty much instantaneous to use directly from the cold tap! Plus you can fill it up and continue using it straight away (some models you have to wait for it to cool down)+ There are lots of steam channels in the head (unlike some which only have one that spurts in several directions (Vileda)). You can even see the steam coming out the channels through the translucent purple plastic on top+ Despite the grout head being a failure it does appear that the grout is getting cleaner just using the normal steam head (plus I am not sure why it appears I am getting so much dirt off each time, it wasn't so consistently noticeable with my other steamers)+ I have cleaned some patches of dirty carpet in the lounge and it same up beautifully+ It is very lightweight and easy to set upComments on other reviews, that have not been an issue:= Holding down the button to get it to steam= Yes it does leave the floors slightly wet if you have it on maximum (what other setting would a girl want to use!). But I think that might be what helps penetrate and clean the grout.= It does stand upright on its ownDislikes:- The pads that attach to the bottom are quite synthetic and short length to the touch, I tried using some from a Vileda steam mop (which are a bit too big - see picture) and I get a lot more dirt off!- The grout head which was the main reason I bought this particular model is a big disappointment there are only a few tufts of bristles and they bend after a very short amount of usage (first 15 minutes without any really pressing). I had a 2 in 1 Shark mop which had a much better grout attachment, unfortunately after a couple of years the unit/button got too hot to be able to use the 2 in 1 element!- The sockette that fits to the glass cleaner is of poor quality and doesn't last long and you only get one and have to phone up polti to buy more- On a previous larger cylinder Polti model, the first I had there was a separate small head triangular shaped cleaning head that worked much better than the awkwardly shaped window cleaner that you use with the sockette- The cord length could be a foot longer which would allow the last bit of cable to fit in the cable holder without having to loop it around halfway (see picture)So yes I would recommend this, but this model could be made so much better with just a few minor changes!

I came across this on the prime day, I liked the idea of the extra tools and accessories that came with it too.Before I continue, please note I am fully aware I need to get out more.This steamer is incredible! I’ve literally steamed everything since it’s arrived and gone oooooo and ahhhhhh as it cleans effortlessly.It’s light weight and the hose for the accessories is super handy especially cleaning the nooks and crannies.We live in the countryside with two dogs and wooden floors. Our floors are effortlessly clean in seconds, our windows are dog slobber and nose print free in minutes.The muddy paw prints from the dogs enjoying our summer can now be steamed away in seconds!I’m so impressed with this steamer, would highly recommend it.

Love it. Lightweight and easy to use. Had no problems putting it together and comes with a good variety of accessories. Ample cord length. Like the option to use as a hand held.

I have previously bought a Thane H20 steam mop which stopped creating steam after only a couple of uses, I took it back and was given a replacement which did not work as soon as I plugged it in (it also looked liked someone had returned it) so was also returned. I have since had a dirt devil steam mop which also stopped working after a few uses, so I decided to spend time looking through reviews to find a better steam cleaner. I saw this one which everyone had given 5 stars so decided to purchase with a 4 year breakdown cover. I have received it today and set it up, I am so disappointed as it looked like a brilliant cleaning gadget and I would've been able to throw out the mop and bucket, however it did not create any steam when set up as a mop, it just leaked water all over the floor which I had to mop up the traditional way. I tried it as a handheld to try and get it going but it made a very poor attempt to create any steam and again dripped water all over the floor/kitchen units. I will be returning this tomorrow as well as the breakdown cover. I will just have to stick to the old fashioned way of cleaning. Very disappointed :(

This multipurpose steam cleaner does the job, but I found it wasn’t very stable, especially when using it as a hand held steamer, rather than floor/carpet cleaner and only worked for little more than a year.It was always falling over even in floor cleaning mode and you have to be super careful putting it down between sprays when using it as a hand held steam cleaner.It also requires fairly expensive filters, which I discovered the manufacturers say should be replaced regularly, depending on use and type of water. We live in a soft water area and it was not heavily used.The steam cleaner itself was on the expensive side too, so when it broke down days before Christmas 2025 having lasted just over a year, I ordered some replacement filters in the hope that was the problem.Disappointingly, that didn’t resolve the issue, so all in all I don’t think this steam cleaner represents good value for money.

My Vacs steamer has just given up the ghost so I was looking for a new one. This is a Which? Best buy, and I can see why. It produces lots of steam for my tiles/stone floors but can be adjusted right down for my wood floors. It is light and easy to manoeuvre and although the water tank is small (much smaller than on my Vacs) I have no problems doing all my floors on one lot of water.I have had a go with one of the steam tools to do bathroom sink and loo and those work well too, but I primarily bought it for doing floors.I got it at a very good price, so am a very happy bunny.

I have used 3 steamers before purchasing this one and this one is the best to date for ease of use for quick and easy daily floor mopping. For comparison the first was a Shark Liftaway which was an okay reasonably light mop but it did not have a limescale filter and the hand part would not steam upside down, so it went back. The second was a Vax Steam Fresh Combi which packed up one month outside its 2 year guarantee and was the most irritating of any cleaner I've ever owned with so many defects, reviewed separately. The third was a Polti Go pull along on wheels. This was a good versatile steamer but not quick and easy for daily use taking 5 -10 minutes to heat.This mop is lightweight. The water holder and the cable release are towards the top of the mop. The water container is easy to remove, fill and put back and it only takes 15 seconds to heat up. When mopping the cable is long enough to be useful but not that long to get in the way (like the Vax) and there is a groove in the top cable holder to hold the cable in place away from your feet. It does a good a job of keeping my white grooved laminate and tiled floors clean with very little effort. I have a dog and a granddaughter both of whom tread dirt in but I don't have ingrained stains. It doesn't leave the floor very wet and I've had no problems with water spurting out. The scrubber on the back of the mop head iis easy to use, you just click the handle back to its upright position (which is a reasonably secure lock on my one) and tilt thehandle backwards. The steam release lever is comfortable to hold in the on position and I have very small hands.The instructions recommend changing the water filter 3 times a year based on medium water and in hard water areas its recommend to mix tap water with demineralised water.There are 2 minor annoyances in mop mode. There is no on and off switch on the machine and you have to switch off at the socket. This is a bit off a nuisance as you have to switch off before refilling with water and then back on again. Having said that I mopped all the floors in my 2 bedroom and a box house without having to refill and I'm all hard floors apart from stairs and landing. Also there is only one mop clothenclosed and I think the replacements are overpriced. The instructions say hand wash only but I put mine in the washer on 40 degree washand it is okay after 2 washes.It's the tools that let this cleaner down. They are identical to those on my old Vax Steam Fresh Combi. They are a cheap plastic with grooves that plastic lugs fit into and they tend to twist out in use if you're rushing to get the job done. To use as a hand held you just pull off the handle and mop head. The tools fit direct on the unit or you fix a hose on the units with an adapter and fit the tools to a cone shaped lance at theother end. of the hose. You can also put the lance and tools direct on the unit using the adapter but this method is not much use as the tools end up facing sideways. If you want to extend the reach of the tools though you can put the handle back on as it is very light. I cleaned thetop of my bathroom tiles like this.The Vax 360 degree click on tools would fit on this handheld with the adapter fitted if you bought the converter kit sold for tha Vax Steam Fresh Combi but these tools are very pricey and there are 3 sets sold separately. I'm surprised that a firm with Polti's reputation for quality steamers have adopted the older inferior twst in tools method. Mine was also delivered with a loose window tool but Amazons excellentcustomer services sorted this problem. I can also confirm that Polti customer services in Manchester are excellent if you should be unfortunate enough to have a problem after sale and don't want to be bothered sending the whole package back to Amazon.The bottom line is that if your main use is quick and easy daily mopping of floors this mop definitely fits the bill. Hopefully it will continue tosteam for a good number of years if Polti live up to their reputation. If your priority is not floors the little Polti Go pull along was a powerfulcleaner that puts out powerful pressurised steam but which leaves floors somewhat wetter and which takes much longer to heat up. Forcomparison the Go has a much larger water tank but it uses water much quicker and you have to depressurise the tank before refilling.

è da circa una settimana che lo posseggo, ma lo trovo davvero efficiente, rapido ef efficace. il vapore viene prodotto in pochi secondi, è molto leggero, è piccolo come spazio occupato nel riporlo, leva bene tutte le macchie.Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto. Ho verificato il costo dei panni di ricambio (che si attaccano alla macchina tramite stretch) ed è abbastanza contenuto (8 panni intorno ai 18 euro)

This is very good cleaner which I use in kitchen, bathroom, on many other surfaces. It cleans some old stains as well.

fonctionne très bien , j'utilise avec unproduit désodorisant à la lavande .Léger, efficace que demander de plus !Facile de rafraichir mes tapis ! Avant c'était pénible de le faire avec un shampoing, il fallait attendre que ça sèche et terminer avec l'aspirateur.Mon canapé et mes fauteuils ont été nettoyé en un rien de temps et ça sèche vite en aérant votre pièce.Sol carrelé et vinyle sont impeccable !Je précise que je ne l'utilise que pour rafraichir.

Probably, the best purchase I have ever made. I love it! It can clean anything, it's very light, it heats up in literally 15 seconds, I am not exaggerating! I was shocked! It has an anti-limescale filter so you can use tap water (check the instruction book), the water container seems small, but it goes a long way and it does not need time to reheat when you refill it. Easy to assemble the various accessories. The sleeves are machine washable and most importantly you don't need chemicals to clean your floors, because the steam lifts up any stains and kills all bacteria! I'd say it's a must if you have small kids or pets! Only thing, not necessarily negative, it's a bit loud, but it's a steamer so it makes sense.
