Have been using these little filter cartridges for years . My goldfish is 6 years old so certainly doing the job .

Very good filter
Seems to be working perfectly only had for a few days tho, fish look happy and tank lovely and clear.. however the bubbles it creates are very loud... small price to pay for a brilliant filter :)

great for small nano tanks
when ordered this i didn't relies that it was disposable but despite that fact it works great in my 20l tank (which i use for breeding and quarantining new fish) I have been using the same one for a about 2 months now and its been great. be sure to wash it in your tank water when your doing your water changes or the sponge will clog up. would be even better if it wasn't sealed and you could change the sponge.

I wanted a small filter/bubbler for a 2 gallon fish bowl and decided to give this one a try because of the price and because it came with a pump. It was easy to set up and install. It stayed suctioned to the side of the glass with no problem. I like that it comes with a release valve so that you can control the amount of air flow. I read a lot of the other reviews where they mentioned too many bubbles - that's probably from not using the enclosed valve. I highly suggest using it if your tank is under 2 gallons. My set up is a 2 gallon fish bowl that's mostly an aqua scape of live plants, driftwood, and gravel. It has an outer heat lamp for the live plants. I'm going to leave about 2 to 3 inches at the top to allow for slight spatter from the bubbles. I do intend to add fish - probably two female bettas, or a few white cloud minnows. Being an aqua scape, I won't add more fish than that. Otherwise, it looks like the filter is going to work great for this set up. So far, so good.

This is nice little kit for small tanks up to 5 gallons. Come with everything you need to get started, easy to use and setup. Cleaning and replacing the filter cartridge is simple. Air pump output is great and is very quiet, you hear the bubbles but not the pump.
