Wella Illumina Hair Colour 60ml - 10/69

So I had previously (about 2 months ago) bleached and toned my hair and even with using purple shampoo twice a week it was looking very yellow. I didn't want to bleach and tone again because of the damage so thought I'd give this a try... I was very skeptical about this product and have knocked stars off as there are no English instructions within the packaging, but a quick Google search gave me them. I mixed it 1:1 with a 6% developer, ('blonde me' range) slapped it on all over and hoped for the best. After 20 minutes I thought I was going to have a full head of grey hair so washed it off... but... the colour it is after drying is gorgeous, a nice ashy blonde, it has lightened my 2cm roots slightly so it has a really nice blend. I am really impressed and will definitely buy again!

My hair has been dark for a while. I missed being blonde so cap highlighted my hair. Unfortunately some of the older brown was very stubborn. Those parts were a horrible shade of orange and I dare not put any more bleach on it, it’s already taken a battering. I needed violet to naturalise the orange so purchased this knowing it wouldn’t entirely match the swatch colour but should hopefully at least take the orange away. I used the 10/69 with a 1:1 ratio on dry hair with a 30 vol wella developer (I know that seems a high volume but I can’t stress enough just how orange it was) I let it develop for 25 mins and rinsed, shampoo, condition and hair mask. The colour is beautiful 😻 I’m so happy with it. The condition of my hair is absolutely awful (which is entirely on me- I went in a bit hardcore with the bleach) so if anyone can suggest something amazing for the bleach damage it would be appreciated.

Lockdown - disaster struck. I had reached for the diy hair dye to cover my awful 4inch long roots! Well first i had used l'oreal excellence Glasgow and my roots went ginger!! Then a couple weeks later i caved and used jerome russel bleach and my hair went completely white/yellow! Cringe. Lightbulb head. After much research for toning my tresses down i found this toner and mixed it with a developer. 2 parts developer to 1 part toner. I was so pleased when i rinsed this out. I am thankfully back to an acceptable ash blonde! I definitely recommend using a hair mask or a really good conditioner to keep hair soft after using this as mine did go a tad dry. I've only washed my hair every 2-3 days to keep the toner in as long as possible. It has come out a bit already but it has been at least 2 months now i think! So for the time and cost of doing it yourself at home vs the salon prices i think it was pretty good value to be honest. I will however be going back to my hairdresser in a couple of weeks now that they are open again!! I don't trust myself to use this correctly and not do any damage long term but it was a good value quick fix in the meantime. I definitely have an increased respect for the chemistry that our fairy godmother hairdressers have to do to make our hair look and feel good whilst combatting damage!

Amazing colour. I have thick long hair and did a 1:2 mix of 2 × 10/69 and a 1/3 of a tube of 10/93 with the wella pastel 1.9% developer after a wella bleach lift on damp hair. Left it for 10/15mins but could have kept it on for longer I reckon.

Used 10/69 First 2 photos is with flash and the last and video is just with natural lighting. I expected this colour to be a little more silver but I was actually going closest to my natural colour so it worked out well. I don’t have pictures of my hair before but it’s was a pale yellow from bleaching. So it’s covered it nicely and left a natural dirty blonde colour. If you’re looking for a natural looking blonde I recommend this definitely. My hair doesn’t feel damaged and it didn’t make my roots ginger

I had dark brown hair I went through 2 bleaching session and after the second bleaching it was pale yellow and light peach orange I wasn't sure if I would have to bleach again for a 3rd time and I really didn't want to so I got this slapped it on and hoped for the best . And boy did it do the job I waited 30 minutes and this is the end result happy is an unstatment I'm finally blonde again after a long battle . Just get it dont second guess it . This is an amazing colour 😍

I went with this instead of my usual t18 as the last two times t18 had gone a bit patchy and left my roots still brassy. This time I bleached my roots as usual with wella blondor and 20 vol left on for 40 mins and shampooed, rinsed and towel dried, I mixed half the tube of illumina 10/69 with 20 vol and applied to my roots first, left for 15 mins and then mixed up the other half tube and applied it to my lengths and ends, lightly combed through and left for 10 more mins. Rinsed, shampooed twice, conditioned and finished with a lovely hair mask. My roots are perfectly ashy, my lengths are icy blonde and there is no yellow in sight. Absolutely love this as a toner! Will definitely be using this again. I used a full tube as my hair is long just past my bra strap but it’s definitely worth buying every 10 weeks give or take.

Blandar denna med 10/1 och 9/60 för att få den PERFEKTA neutrala blonda nyansen. Denna är bra då den har lila undertoner, men den ska inte verka i mer än 10 minuter för annars blir håret lila. Receptet för ultimata neutrala blonda nyansen som inte är för kall eller gul efter blekning är: 30 gram 10/69 20 gram 10/1 10 gram 9/60 med developer 1,9 % Verka 10 min

Après plusieurs décolorations, j'avais les cheveux blonds platine presque blancs sur les longueurs et jaune/orange sur les racines. Je n'ai absolument pas réussi avec d'autres produits à estomper ces racines affreuses, alors que je voulais un blond cendré bien gris. J'ai donc contacté mon coiffeur qui m'a recommandé cette coloration de chez Wella à diluer avec de l'oxydant "WELLOXON PASTEL" de chez Wella également (pour info, il faut diluer avec le double d'oxydant. Par exemple, si vous mettez 30ml de Wella Illumina, il faut mettre 60ml d'oxydant). J'ai laissé poser une quarantaine de minutes (tout en surveillant bien), et le résultat était bel et bien là: plus de racines horribles! une couleur sublime. Bref je recommande à toutes celles qui veulent un blond cendré tirant bien bien sur le gris (sur cheveux décolorés).
