(CAN-LPE17) Ultra Slim USB Charger compatible with Canon LP-E17 Battery & LISTED CANON EOS, EOS-M, EOS-R, EOS Rebel & Kiss Cameras

I was initially hesitant about his third-party battery charger, but it's better than the original, included battery charger for my DLSR in basically every way.- It's much smaller and lighter which makes it much better for travelling.- It uses a Micro USB cable rather than DC power so it's much more versatile (you could charge your camera battery from a laptop/pc or even a power bank- It's much cheaperIt also has a red/green LED indicator for charging/fully charged status. The battery charged very quickly, just as quickly as using the original charger that came with my DLSR. It must be said that build quality isn't on par with my original charger, the lightweight plastic build feels a little cheap. But, importantly, the charging performance has been just as good. So with all of the added benefits, I'm yet to see why I'd go back to using my original charger now.

I’ve had two of these which I have bought for family - one for Lumix and one for Canon LP- E17. Both have been excellent.They are lightweight, travel friendly and are versatile being micro USB. They are very useful, even for charging batteries in the car when the news has arisen.I would recommend these and plan on ordering one for myself (Fuji) in the near future.

Does the job and it's so much lighter than my previous one. Saves a lot of space in my accessory bag too !I wish there was an orange button to indicate when it's half way full, but for the price, I can't complain. It's a trade-off.

It's hard to say just how great this little device is, without it seeming blindingly obvious - but here goes.The trouble with the charger Canon supply with the camera (750D in my case) is that it's mains powered. This means that it's (relatively) large, bulky, heavy, and you can only charge in a domestic environment - which necessitates carrying a mains lead around with you as well.This is USB powered, and is also smaller and lighter than the official charger. All good things. As it's USB powered there are a great many more possibilities for charging - in car or solar for example. The connector is a micro-USB which is the same as 99% of tablets & mobile phones these days, so you don't really have to worry about availability.Actual charging is simple. Plug it in, and off you go. It took just under 2 hours to fully charge a discharged LP-E17 battery using a 1.8A USB wall charger - YMMV with different types of charge input, but even so, it's comparable to the standard charger supplied. It has a helpful LED on the top of the unit, and underneath it even has a little notice to remind you what the different colours of the LED need - although it's hardly complicated; red for charging, green for charged.I don't understand why Canon didn't do this in the first place.

I wasn't expecting much from this if I'm honest, it's so much cheaper than a canon charger, and teeny tiny in comparison, but I have to say I was really surprised. It charges the batteries of my 750d really quickly. Not as quick as the wall charger obviously, and I wasn't timing it so I can't be specific, but it was quick! I ordered it for the USB charging, a flat battery when out and about is no good if I only have a wall charger, with this I'm charging the flat one with my power bank whilst using the spare. I've never quite understood why cameras come with a wall charger and not usb, as presumably a lot of people are like myself and want to charge whilst out and about or in the car, and this tiny thing takes up less space in a suitcase too if you're taking your camera on holidays. It's about half the size of a pack of 20 cigarettes (halved horizontally across the middle), and it's really light. I've only needed to use it a few times so far but it does the job, and I prefer it to the charger that came with my camera.

As soon as it arrived via post (quick delivery too), I plugged it into a micro USB cable that I already had attached to an A/C mains USB adapter (from a mobile phone) plugged into the mains, and I snapped in one of my Canon LP E17 batteries to charge. It recharged this battery within about 3 hours, whereby I snapped in another battery to charge. This one also took about 3 hours to recharge as well. The charger has a light on it to give you the status of the battery charge - Red (charging) and Green (charged). It seems to work using any of my micro USB cables (including the one that comes in the box) and any A/C mains USB adapters (although I only used the A/C mains USB adapters that came with mobile phones).It worked perfectly!I look forward to using it more over the coming months... since I can't find the original battery recharger anywhere in the house (and original OEM Canon rechargers are very expensive).I may even buy an extra one for travel (and as a back-up). I highly recommend it.

Great things come in small packages! I brought this for my cannon eos m3 and thought at first glance it would be too small for the cannon battery!! Glad to say it works perfectly and is small enough you can carry around with you without it taking up a lot of space!!Great for the price! Charged my battery from 2 bars to full using my car charger in one return journey approx 1.5 hours. Very happy customer!

The charger is smaller and lighter than the manufacturer's original. And being powered by USB makes it a much more convenient option, particularly for travel. Seems to be well made and is a perfect fit for the original batteries. Would certainly recommend at this price as a replacement or additional travel unit.
