I Started with the daily hot flushes around three months ago and the horrendous night sweats 10 weeks ago so that was me on the way to the menopause. Not even when I was really ill with the flu have I ever experienced anything like this. I would wake during the night absolutely soaking wet through like I had wet myself, in fact when it first started, on the first night that’s what I thought had happened. It came on like a steam train. No prior warnings or a slightly sweaty night. After a few weeks I didn’t think I would cope, I was losing sleep as I had to get up and change my pyjamas/nighty and the towel I was laying on was cold and damp too. Some nights I would just cry because I was so tired and longed for a dry night. I tried the usual things, cotton bedding, pyjamas, not drinking coffee late in the evening but things just went from bad to worse. I had never heard of sage drops before, my Husband just ordered my first bottle without telling me and when they arrived I started taking 20 drops 3 times a day. I must admit, I didn’t really expect anything to happen but to my delight the night sweats stopped within a week, the day flushes took a little longer to stop but now they have gone completely. This is now the second bottle I have ordered. I didn’t want to leave a review after the first bottle as it had only been a short time in case they stopped working after a couple of weeks but they are still doing the job even now, I still take the 20 drops three times a day but I am thinking of dropping down to 15 drops per day. Persist with the taste, you do get used to it but at first it tastes awful. I had to dilute it in quite a bit of water but now I just use a little water. It is an organic product manufactured by Bioforce in Switzerland. Ingredients are Tincture if organically grown fresh salvia officinalis (sage leaves) and extracted in alcohol (66% v/v). It comes in a glass bottle with a little dropper attached to the spout so no messing with little eye droppers. It is not recommended for people with epilepsy. Avoid during pregnancy or if breast feeding and not recommended for children. I will definitely be using these from now on and would highly recommend Sage drops to anyone who is suffering and doesn’t want to use HRT. They’re not cheap but if you think how long they will last, they are really good value for money. If you think about the prescription charges for HRT it’s not that much different. Delivery from this seller was super quick too, no problems at all. I also changed my bedding to bamboo bedding including my quilt as it’s more absorbent but I haven’t had any sweats to see if it works thank god.

Having recently entered the hot flush and night sweat stage of life I was becoming desperate! My sheets were wet every night, I felt like I had a constant fever and going out was becoming an issue as mid flush my clothes would stick to me and I looked like a beetroot. I really didn't want to go the HRT route until I had tried some alternatives. I was going to try Black Cohosh but had trouble buying it locally and was recommended this in a local independent health shop. I don't like buying random stuff without looking into it first but like I say, I was desperate. The guy said it would take a few days to kick in. After a week I had definitely noticed things calming down, I was having 15 drops morning and early afternoon and 20 drops at bedtime. 2 weeks in and no hot flushes at all. Night time was calmer although I was still hot - just not sweating! Now 3 weeks plus I am 'normal', I have mostly cut out the mid-day dose but still keep the 15 morning and 20 nighttime drops. I still wake up in the night but more often than not it is my husbands snoring not my temperature that wakes me! I know this stuff won't work for everyone and I am aware that once my body is used to it, the effectiveness may lessen (I'll have a go at the Black Cohosh then!) in the meantime I can't rate this highly enough. Other reviewers mention they don't like the taste, but I drink herbal teas and this is pretty nice! If your symptoms sound anything like mine, get a small bottle and have a go - don't expect an overnight miracle and if it works, stock up on the large bottles as they are much better value.

My “hot moments” have definitely reduced. I still feel warm, but no longer have excessive sweats (gross but I can’t think of another way to write it!) Tastes horrible, but as long as it works I’ll keep going with it. If it works during the upcoming heat that’s been forecast, it’ll be 5stars

I sent for this item not really sure what I was dealing with health-wise. After being on a medication last year that warned of 'flushing' and 'peri-menopausal' side effects, I did indeed suffer hot flushes for a while. They did subside, but at the end of last year I contracted a nasty virus, complete with chest infection, laryngitis, sinusitis and temperature fluctuations. The illness slowly improved, the sweating remained. As I am not a fan of stuffing myself full of prescribed medications for every ailment, I bought this product just in the hope that it would alleviate the problem. Once it arrived, I took the lower suggested dose and within 6-8 hours I realised I had not had an creeping sweat in that period. I had been experiencing these about 4-5 times a day up to that point, so I was already impressed. Over the next couple of days all signs of flushing had vanished. For me, this product has been a complete triumph and as it is not overly expensive and the bottle has lasted around a month, I will definitely reorder. It is easy to administer, in a half cup of water and I am relieved I have found this solution so quickly.

Now this is good stuff! I’ve been suffering from a lot of hot flushes, day and night, but as soon as I took my first 20 drops in a little water…I cooled down…I now take 20 drops twice a day, breakfast and dinner time, and what an improvement..so far no night sweats and during the day I’m much better as well. It tastes a little copperish but it’s not vile and it’s worth it. As it’s taken in a bit of water you can take it in one go, easy. I was about to put my make up on yesterday and noticed that my face was really flushed BUT I wasn’t hot, so I was obviously having a ‘flush’ without the heat and the sweats….how thrilling is that!? I do of course still get a bit hot and sweaty if I’m exerting myself, like housework or walking too fast, but I cool down quicker and that sort of occasional sweating is not too difficult to handle. I can highly recommend this product, I hope it helps you as much as it’s helped me.

As a man of cough a”hmn 50 i suffer with hot flushes and they are just dreadful. Its not just females who have this problem with menapause but us guys as well. Anyway i have tried other brands but this brand stands alone in its quality. Not only that but the actual droper where the fluid drips from is miles better than all others. Its quick but not so that you cant count the drops. I use 20-25 both morning & night in an inch of cold water. The taste is no problem at all but i find it really helps masses. My hot flushes have dropped and i only get them a couple of times a wk now. I guess the cold weather helps so im dreading summer. Get the100 ml sizes if poss.

I had increased of hot flushes instead of minimising in the first two days.I am not taking this product again.

The source for even knowing about this product was a great book, What really works in Natural Health by Susan Clark. She cited this product as the best for alleviating the discomfort of hot flushes. It really does work. I started with twenty drops three times a day and then went down to twice a day. I obtained great relief from the flushes which prior to this had become so bad that I felt quite ill when they occoured. Of course, we are all differently constituted but I had a very positive experience with this product. It is essentially a Tincture of Sage. The late, great Alfred Vogel, on whose formulation Menosan is made, was a Swiss Master herbalist, nutritionist and writer. I hope this helps anyone wondering about this product. I recommend also checking out Susan Clark's book.
