Setup was simple plug-n-play
For starters, this suited my application perfectly considering I picked it up for an older laptop with a failing internal wifi adapter, so my standards weren't set very high. The price was perfect and came in way below the cost to replace the internal wireless chip. It connected right out of the box without the need to install drivers, and performed better than the internal adaptor ever did. The design is very sleek and low profile. I didn't bump the adaptor once while moving the laptop around during my room-to-room signal tests. Its ability to pick up a strong or weak steady signal and hold it is great, especially since the laptop was from 2012 and naturally has slower hardware. Even tried out a little light gaming in each room and it held a connection beautifully. I'll likely purchase another one for another older gaming laptop I have, also from 2012 with a slow internal adaptor. That way I won't have to switch this one back and forth between setups If you're looking for a cheap and steady way to connect older hardware to the net, this will get the job done and definitely gets a "would recommend" from me. I'll add images in a few days. First time around I wasn't able to take pictures, but I will shortly to show the level of connectivity in each room and rough distance.

Compact and Reliable WiFi Solution - Perfect for Travel and Everyday Use
I recently purchased the TP-Link Nano USB WiFi Adapter for my desktop and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This compact, travel-sized adapter is powerful for its size, easily delivering reliable WiFi connections both at home and on the go. Installation was straightforward with plug-and-play on my Windows system, and within minutes, I was connected. One standout feature is the dual-band capability, offering 2.4G and 5G support, which makes it versatile depending on the type of network you’re on. I noticed a significant improvement in speed when connected to 5G networks—perfect for streaming and browsing without interruption. The adapter’s AC1300 capability is also a bonus, allowing faster data rates, which makes it quite future-proof for any upgraded internet plans. For its small size, it’s remarkably unobtrusive, which I appreciate. I barely notice it plugged into the USB port, and because it's so small, it’s great for travel or for plugging into a laptop without worrying about it getting in the way. Overall, this adapter is a great value for anyone needing reliable WiFi connectivity on a PC or laptop, especially in situations where wired connections are impractical. It’s a small investment that brings a big performance boost. Highly recommended!

Hot little Wi-Fi adapter
Pro: Works well, easy to use, compact. Con: It gets quite hot while in use. I only use it for short periods of time but I would not use this as a permanent solution out of concern that it could melt my USB socket.

Works with Windows 10 without a need to install drivers
I bought this one out of desperation in my attempts to find an USB dongle that would work on a clean Windows 10 machine that does not yet have Internet connection. Basically I needed a dongle that does not require an installation of drivers and relies solely on drivers that are shipped with Windows 10 out of the box - a feature much needed when you install Windows 10 in the field and don't have network connection yet and also don't want to be bothered by having to install the drivers from the CD or USB drive. It is frustratingly difficult to find such product as none of the product descriptions unambiguously state that Win 10 would not ask for a driver (some do make similar statement for Win 11). So I just bought this one simply because it had good review rating and I had no other choice but to try different products myself. The product description was not too promising as it was ambiguous. And the product was shown to come with a driver CD, which hints at the strong possibility that driver installation would be needed. But, to my surprise, it worked out-of-the-box without asking for any drivers! And no, this product does not pose as a USB removable drive to provide the driver installation files - a trick that some other manufacturers resort to. The product itself is very compact and the signal strength and data transfer speed are both excellent. So now this is my go-to dongle when I need to connect the newly installed Win 10 machines to the network and Ethernet is not available. I just wish the manufacturer would state clearly in their product description that no driver installation will be needed on Windows 10, as this is a significant competitive advantage.

Excellent Replacement for a Failing Adapter
The built-in Wi-Fi adapter in one of my laptops had become unreliable and would occasionally stop working for no apparent reason. I bought the TP-Link Nano adapter as a replacement. Installation was super simple. I plugged the adapter in and installed the driver software. (This laptop doesn't have a CD drive, so I downloaded the software from the TP-Link website.) Next, I went into the laptop's settings and disabled the internal adapter and enabled the TP-Link. I connected to my home Wi-Fi network, and I was done. The whole installation took about five minutes. This laptop only has two USB ports, so I have the TP-Link Nano plugged into a USB hub. It works fine that way and receives a strong signal from the Wi-Fi access point located two floors above it. So far, it has been running continuously without issues. I have always had good luck with TP-Link products, and this one is no different. It's an excellent little adapter for the money, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one should the need arise.

Works like a charm!
This adapter saved me a lot of grief and headache. A little over a month ago, I bought a desktop Dell Optiplex 7010 Tower computer on Amazon. This computer was marked down in price bc it was previously used but advertised as "good as new." I was very busy w other things and didn't open the box until a few days ago. When I finally opened the box and connected the various cables that came w the computer, I discovered that I couldn't connect to WiFi. I couldn't contact Amazon Customer Service nor the seller bc it was well past the 30 day deadline. I discovered that the WiFi adapter was missing in the box. I went on Amazon and read the reviews where some folks used this adapter on their Dell w success. I bought this adapter and another adapter (AX1800, Nano Wi-Fi 6 Wireless USB Adapter) in case the AC1300 Adapter wouldn't work; and besides, the AX1800 sounded more advanced and powerful. To make a long story short, the AC1300 worked but not the AX1800. If you're in a similar predicament like I was, save your money and get the AC1300, not the AX1800. Also, when you get an Amazon package, you need to open it right away to make sure nothing in the package is missing and/or the item is functioning as it should,

Instant laptop revival
I have a four year old HP laptop running Win 11, that suddenly began losing WiFi connection, a common occurrence with older laptops. This adapter arrived the next day, in a small box with a CD with drivers, installed instantly and works flawlessly. So much for the headline. The ideal solution would be replacing the internal OEM Intel WiFi adapter with an upgraded device. This would have been a tedious task and I am getting lazy. And although I do not enjoy losing a precious USB port, I consider this to be acceptable when I get an instant an inexpensive repair. The included CD was not necessary for Win 11. The adapter was instantly recognized and Device Manager reported the installed drivers to be up-to-date (both WiFi and Bluetooth). I did not need to uninstall my old adapter or anything else, just plug this in and resume my work. I decided to go with this TP-Link Nano USB WiFi Adapter over the WiFi 6 version (TP-Link Nano USB WiFi 6 Adapter) because of its smaller footprint, lower cost, and the older router I connect to. I consider this to be a temporary solution that I may reconsider later when I upgrade my SSD to 4TB. I expect to keep this laptop for several more years with several performance upgrades. I highly recommend this adapter for those of us with older but serviceable and fully capable PCs, laptops and desktops with WiFi connection problems. This will work for almost all of you.

Perfecto 2024.

Plug and play at its best
Tiny little beast so make sure its facing your router . I used mine on an older Dell XPS and got 30mbs which is roughly what I expected but got 12 mbs on a cheaper wireless adapter. Overall .. I'd buy another one .. Yes

250 Mbps
Good enough. Expect around 250 Mbps on wifi if your home has gigabit speed. Less than advertised, but still plenty.
