Heater
Nice little heater. Perfect for what we need. Heats up the room nicely when main heating is off.

A great little oil radiator
A lovely looking and pleasant-to-touch oil radiator. It really pounds out heat well. It would be a definite 5 stars if it was not for the leg clip keeps detaching. Other than that, it is great - goof value for money, wasy to use and tough.

Compact efficient heater
Very efficient small heater but does take some time to heat a small room. Probably should have bought next size up. It is very compact and easy to store. Very easy to assemble and good quality.

Continuous output is only 285watts
I thought this would be a nice little heater for my campervan. I was sceptical as to how such a small unit could transfer 800w of energy into the room as it has such a small surface area, the fins would have to be red hot, but I thought hey its quite cheap let's give it a try. Well it does have an 800w heating element but it also has an internal thermal cut out which shuts the element off when the surface temperature of the heater reaches 75C which happens after only about 10 minutes. This is not the user thermostat shutting off the heater this is an internal cutout. So the heater itself is very hot, the room is still very cold but the heater can't dissipate that heat quickly enough so it's element is actually shut off. I have timed the duty cycle with a room temperature of 16C and once at operating temperature after the first cycle it is on for 5m:45s and off for 9m:20s repeating so the average power consumption is only 285watts. I did complain to the seller and they sent me a second heater which does exactly the same thing. At least I have two of them now but still effectively only have an average of 570watts of heating power. On the plus side it seems quite well made so it would be fine perhaps as a frost heater in a small space but that's about it. Certainly no good for heating a room. You could I suppose place a fan so it blows across the fins which might work quite well but not practical in my campervan.

check the sizing! rather small heater
check the size, as it is a rather small heater! it does get hot and OK as an under the desk heater; but no way big enough to heat a room.

Warmth.
This heater gave out, just the right amount of heat. Even when on low.

No timer but otherwise a great little radiator.
I purchased this as a means to heater the back of a campervan as a temporary measure due to severe lack of funds to complete my original plan. I have to say i'm really suprised as to how much heat it kicks out. It's really good whilst i'm plugged into electric hook up. It would be too much of an energy drain potentially if completely off grid. It doesn't come with a timer as others have mentioned so just get a timer plug then you're all good. That's the only reason i've knocked a star off.
