Swans loved it , food floats giving the birds time to eat it

Excellent Floating food
I’ve been feeding a pair of swans for a couple of years now who live at the bottom of our garden. They absolutely love this food & look like they’re in tip top condition. I also fed the 3 signets that they had last year about 3 times a day from hatching. All 3 signets found the smaller size of this feed easy to eat. They all survived & grew into strong healthy adult size before flying to join a local flock in February this year. The food floats so it’s easy for them to eat. Moorhens & ducks also eat it & I now have about 30 different water fowl including 2 Egyptian geese that come for this food.

VERY popular with the ducks and swans !!
Oh Wow !! The Swans and Ducks on my local nature walk absolutely l-o-v-e this tasty, healthy food (much better for them than bread) and they l-o-v-e me as well !! Moorhens will also take the granules, when they can get a look-in...Currently a family of mum and 4 nearly full-grown juvenile Mallards (I've known them since they were tiny) will literally come charging towards me from as far as 100 metres away - they have become quite tame, and, once they have scoffed the lot, they will keep following me, ever hopeful of a few more tasty morsels... a bit awkward sometimes (and terrible if I forget to take some with me!)I was relieved in a way when a pair of swans that had been on the watercourse for several months, cleared off elsewhere in the late spring, they were getting a bit aggressive, hauling themselves out of the water and stomping after me, and hissing when the food ran out..! (P.S. September now, and the swans have returned.... oh dear..!)The birds will take the food both on the land / sprinkled in the grass, and in the water (which is preferable as it can sometimes get a bit stuck in their gullets without some liquid to help it down). The first 5 kg pack I bought, the granules (each about the size of a small pea) floated well, but those in the second pack seem to sink after less than a minute or so - - this is OK if the water is shallow, the ducks seem happy to upend and grub about for every last morsel (quite entertaining too) - but, in deeper water some food could be wasted, unless you throw only a small amount at a time, so that it all gets scoffed before it sinks.. (Maybe this was a one-off issue with this particular pack - I will update on it in due course.** Update - November 2015 - the third pack I have bought - and the granules in this one seem to float well / do not sink :) **It's great fun anyway, and nice to know that this food is actually good for them.

The ducks love this product, genuinely. Quite a wait however, for the delivery.

Terrifyingly popular
I bought this because when my local ducks had ducklings I liked visiting the babies, but my local duck pond feeder machine ran out of food and when looking for food in the meantime I found actually buying a bag like this was cheaper than paying for the machine each time. Another plus is that the ducks and coots in my local pond LOVE this stuff. When we go to feed them with it, we get a little duck stampede and feeding frenzy. They go crazy for it. It's very cute, but also a little scary - swear it's the little guys' favourite food now, they absolutely flock for it and lose their little ducky minds, sometimes it's like a duck gladiator pit to get the pellets and they will stand on your feet, beg, and shout for food. So the ducks (and friends) love it, the price is good, and even though they will happily eat a crazy amount of it in one siting, it lasts a very long time...All in all, well worth it!I wouldn't risk feeding this to swans or geese though...given how addicted my ducks seem to be, that seems like a recipe for disaster (or, at least, horror).I might edit this to add pictures of the little fans - some of them try to follow me home in hopes of more of this food, they like it so much.

This stuff is definitely duck crack (quack?)
After buying my second bag of this I thought I'd better leave a review...I am very lucky that I live overlooking a river, so I've spent a lot of time watching ducks do their thing (mostly unspeakable things but we'll gloss over that). the ducks give me a lot of enjoyment so I think it's only fair that I feed them. I didn't want to feed them bread as it isn't healthy, so I bought this stuff.Ducks go absolutely crazy for it! They seem to be able to sense it from miles around, i can go from feeding one duck to feeding well over 20 in the space of 5 seconds! They definitely seem to know that it's good for them as they absolutely lap it up, and can't get enough of it. The moorhens and fish seem to like it too.The only negative I can say about it is it confuses geese. We have a couple of canada geese who come and say hi, they will swim over to the food when it's thrown, but will just stare at it for a minute and then stare at you with a bit of a puzzled look, although they will attempt to eat a bit of it if there are ducks there eating it too. I have tested the food on other geese in case the ones we get visiting are particularly stupid, but they all act the same. I do realise its duck and swan food, not duck and goose food so I'll not hold this against the product.

Great product but why the delays?
This is great for feeding geese and they love these pellets. They float on water which is really handy. Lately I've experienced long delays in receiving my orders. Most recent order has been delayed twice now - ordered in September and still not in transit - which is unacceptable.

Pet food retailer
I like their service it was good two years ago , this year 2023 lot of supplier s accounts don't show that they don't have the supplies available or they are in shortage of supplies ! But overall I never had any issues before this year 2023They got qualified food for my duck pets and swans so I love feeding them healthy food with their required vitamins to keep them healthy ;
