I buy Draper Tools because it's a reputable brand that I trust.So when I ordered a pair of Draper 24807 Ladder Clamps it was for piece of mind as I thought I knew what to expect.After all you wouldn't want a ladder coming off your van on the motorway would you!Unfortunately there are some independent sellers on Amazon who feel it is OK to take an unbranded, brown box, generic copy item and stick on their own black & white printed labels pretending to be a genuine 'Draper 24807'.The product that was supplied to me by the seller was otherwise completely unbranded and unlike the genuine Draper item didn't have any instructional leaflet.That item was returned under complaint after it was confirmed not to be supplied by Draper.I have included a photo of the genuine Draper colour labeled box that I have since been sent by Draper Tools Ltd and who confirm both main clamp bars are also branded with their logo. An instructional Draper leaflet is also include in their box.Unfortunately it would seem from the other negative reviews that this is not the first time it has happened and there may be others out there.If you have already received one or are sent anything different in the future, ask the seller to supply proof it's a genuine Draper.You might not have been sent what you paid for and it won't be covered by Draper's guarantee if it fails.

I am very happy with these ladder clamps, they do exactly what I expected them to do. The build quality is good and they feel robust enough to have confidence in knowing that your ladders are securely fixed to the roof rack. There is a good length of threaded bar, and I have doubled up with a pair of step ladders and 3x extension ladder with no problems. There is a washer in between the handles and the part that secures the ladder in place, to stop them from sticking, which for me was a nice touch. The holes line up nicely and I am currently using a 4" padlock with them, which just about fits.A previous purchaser has mentioned that it is disappointing that there is no "Draper" sticker. However, for me personally this is not an issue as the build quality supersedes the need for a manufacturers logo.
