This little guy simply works, and works well!
I'm a clinical psychologist, self-diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder - the Winter Blues. In my hometown, not only do we have less light in the winter but we have A LOT of overcast days in the winter. Every year it kicks me in the butt - can't think, can't get motivated, can't sustain momentum, my productivity drops, I get moody and irritable, and I want to snack (and so put on weight). I've known about light therapy for some time, and finally (at my wife's urging) bought this unit. Within one day, I was feeling better, by the second day, I felt like my normal self. SAD is a real, scientifically documented condition that affects about 10% of the population, and it's biological. The light therapy is not simply a placebo effect - it changes how your brain functions and the kinds of hormones that are being released. The Circadian Optics Light works, and works well, because it is so bright - advertised at 10,000 lux - the recommended brightness for SAD. Most of the research on light therapy has been conducted with larger, fluorescent lights, and frankly I don't like the industrial look of them, the intrusive size, and i really don't like fluorescent light. This LED unit works just fine. I place about an arms length away off to one side, and then do whatever next to it (usually reading my Kindle) for about 45 minutes in the early morning. If i use it for less time, if find myself craving more light. I then do a booster session of 30 minutes or so in the afternoon (I'm using it as i write this) and my mood and clarity of thought return. This unit is bright enough, not too big in size, is inexpensive, and because it's LED it uses very little electricity. It works, and it works well. It is well constructed, and is small and light enough that you could pack it in a suitcase for travel. If you've been wanting to try light therapy, I can recommend this unit as being very cost effective. It works so well I bought a second unit to use at the office.

Solid product
Well made and solid product. Sits easily on a desk or end table. Does need to be fairly close to get the full effect.

Performs well. Love it!
I like this lamp so much better than the previous one I had. It's smaller and yet it works just as well as the earlier one. It's easy to use. The cord length is such that it doesn't need to be too close to the outlet and it's bright. The only negative is that the stand is not aa stable as I'd like.

It really works!
This lamp really works! On day one i was more awake and ready to work than I have ever been. I get up at 3:30 am to prepare for a 1:30 commute. This lamp has me wide awake and ready to drive in 45-60 minutes.

Great Product!
I've had this light for a little over two months now and am definitely impressed by the attractive design, simplicity of use, brightness factor with 3 settings, and overall performance. I used this light pretty much daily in the months of December and January and I found that it really does give you a boost to the day. I used it primarily in the mornings shortly after waking up for about 15-20 minutes a day. Using this light made me more awake and alert during those dark winter mornings, and I also noticed that I was in a more positive frame of mind which often stayed with me throughout the day. This light is perfect for those long, cloudy late fall and winter months and will brighten your day!

Still too early to review fully, but it works !
Iโve only been using it for 3 (technically 2) days, but so far it is working. Itโs for sure going to be trial and error to find out what works best for my N24 cycle but currently I am doing 1 hour full intensity at wake up only. Doing so keeps my wake up time early, and I feel naturally sleepy before going to bed !!You do need to be careful not to use the light after a certain point in the day though. After maybe 5 or 6 hours of being awake, doing the light therapy for even 20 minutes pushed back my sleep time 4 hours. My log:1st day:Went to bed at 10:30pm, woke up 6:20 am, 1hr L.T at wake up, 20 minutes afternoon (DONT DO AFTERNOON, IT HAS OPPOSITE EFFECT) went to bed at 1:50 AM due to incorrect usage2nd day:Woke up at 7:45am, 1hr L.T at wake up. Went to bed at 10:40pm.3rd day:Woke up at 6:00AM (hour earlier than previous wake up time) due to correct usage. Decided to not do L.T to see if it really was working. I did start feeling fleetingly sleepy at ~10pm but ended up watching tv and going to bed at 2:30AM-10:25AM So the light really does work and itโs not just some fluke. On top of all that, it noticeably improves my mood, energy, and anxiety. On the day after of incorrect and no usage, my mood was deflated. Whereas with correct usage, I have an amount of energy and good mood I rarely have. My friends say itโs night and day how much more social and happy I am already.Obviously Iโm still very much in the testing phase and time will only tell how well itโll manage my N24 hour cycle, but I feel optimistic about my sleep for the first time ever.

Works as Advertised, Quality Product. Not as Happy with it as Iโd Hoped
As far as therapy lights go, this is one is far less tacky than most that are out there. Brightness isnโt very impressive, but Iโm also used to a much bigger one that wasnโt LED so who knows. To anyone who wants a clean-cut light for under $50 I think this is a decent option. That being said, Iโm going to be returning this one for a couple of reasons. The first is that the โtouchโ to turn on/dim function does not allow the unit to leave the circuit closed. For me this poses a problem because I purchased this with the specific intention of putting it on a timer so it will come on in the morning before my alarm goes off. With the touch button, once you remove power it automatically resets the circuit and the only way to turn it back on is to press the button. I would not call this a design flaw, but for me it is a deal breaker.Additionally, I would also note the primary reason for 3 stars instead of 4 (I wouldnโt ever 5 star a product I ended up returning). I would not call this a mediocre product. I think for the price and in comparison to other products on the market it can carry itโs weight. While I can appreciate a clean/sleek design, I think at this point I prefer the fluorescent type box lights. The way that the LEDs disperse the light is a little different and ultimately Iโm fairly unimpressed. The reality with a flat, square design is that there isnโt enough supplementary reflection of the light so it ends up going in one direction and being a little underwhelming. The only situation in which I could see myself really enjoying this light would be in a pitch black room with it right in front of my face. Other box lights have a wrap-around cover that disperses the beam far more thoroughly.Ultimately, I think this light would better be called a functional decoration than a therapy device. It is a quality product, yes- but if youโre looking for something to be overwhelmingly bright and radiant, youโre probably looking at paying a little more for a true โbox lightโ with fluorescent tubes. Thatโs not to say that this one doesnโt help at all with SAD, I would simply conclude that it isnโt as affective as other lights out there.

Felt energetic, focus, less sleepy
I live in an apartment with no direct sunlight, outside is too hot, air quality is extremely bad & i'm not usually waking up early. All this culminated into me feeling sluggish and sleepy all day. I have only used it for 2 days so my review will be limited to that period only.First day when I used it, my brain went nuts - in a good way. I felt really active all day. My focus was really improved and overall my energy levels were off the chart. The second day, I used it with a less intensity - I still felt very energetic during the day. So, all in all I'm really happy with this purchase. Ask yourself, do you generally live in a dark place? If the answer is yes, then you would definitely benefit from it.

Perfect desk sunshine
Nice and compact. Very bright with 3 settings of brightness. Not hard on eyes.

A bit small, but works very well. Excellent light output.
I'm very happy with this lamp. Being a smaller lamp, it doesn't have as great a range as the Circadian Optics Lampu, which I also tried... but the Lumine (this one) is much easier to use, since it has the touch sensor on the front where you can easily find it. They both have the same light output, the only difference is range, which is dependent on size. It was a tough decision between the two, because a bigger lamp with greater range is better when you're moving around the room as you work, whereas with the smaller one you have to stay closer to stay in range and get the full effects of the light... but at the end of the day, the hassle of not being able to find the hidden touch sensor was just not worth it. This lamp may have a smaller range, but it's easy to use, which leads me to use it more, so I actually get more benefit from it in the long run. I think "which is better" is a matter of personal opinion, whether the trade-off of range vs ease of use is worth it.

Works well! (First impressions)
I've been using this light for about a week and a half and it's really nice and bright! The LED lights do show up as individual lights but it doesn't bother me too much. I wonder if the company could make one that spreads the light out more evenly (that would have been 5 starts for sure). I also love that there are 3 light settings instead of just one. I think I made the right choice and will keep using this.
