Days of Wonder | Ticket to Ride India Board Game EXPANSION | Ages 8+ | For 2 to 5 players | Average Playtime 30-60 Minutes, Multicoloured

I started with Europe, then brought the Nordic ticket to ride and have now got this extension pack that features a double sided board and two packs of destination cards for both countries. One side is India at the time of the Raj and the other side is Switzerland with bordering countries shown. Please note that you need to have ticket to ride USA or Europe to play it as there are no 'train pieces', 'counters' or 'carriage cards'. Although the premises of all ticket to ride games are similiar - each country always has slight differences. The India game is good for just 2 or 3 players as you can get quite competitive trying to take control of all the tiny routes in the middle of India. There is also extra points if you have encircled your destinations in a 'mandela'. I quite enjoy this, but it is not worth trying to create them especially as you could get as many points taking the longer routes around the coast which are worth a lot of points. Switzerland is very different - and because it features the boundaries of France, Germany, Italy and Austria on the board, you need to be quite strategic in your thinking to get a route into these additional countries. A lot of the destination cards give you a huge amount of extra points if you have. So it is not only about the number of destinations that you have covered but also how many of the cards you have picked up that give you extra points for connecting all the other european countries. As with all ticket to ride games this extension pack is well made and attractive. The games strategies and ways of getting points are very different so each country provides a good contrast. I have thoroughly enjoyed both countries - India is better with just a couple of players, Switzerland with more.

Ticket to Ride is an absolute hit in our household! It's easy to learn and endlessly entertaining. The quality of the components is top-notch, and the game strikes a perfect balance between luck and strategy. I love the multiple playing styles it accommodates, keeping every match fresh and exciting. It's a must-have for any game night—perfect for both beginners and seasoned players. Highly recommended for its sheer enjoyment and replay value!

Love this expansion, especially (and surprisingly) the Pennsylvania variant. I bought this mainly because it features familiar local places names which I thought would be fun for the kids, and to add some additional variety to our Ticket to Ride games (we used to play Europe with the 1912 expansion) of course, but ended up really loving this version. The UK variant, which was the primary reason for buying, is nice but feels like a quite a lot of hassle for not a lot of additional fun. The Pennsylvania version with it's railroad stocks system though is really great and has quickly become my favourite version of the game, the wife and kids love it as well. What would really make this version perfect for me is if you could play it on the Europe map with original European railroad companies, but that's for a future version perhaps :) In any case, great expansion, absolutely worth the money, especially if you can buy it with a good discount!

Be warned - this is an expansion game and you must purchase the base game - Ticket to Ride Europe or the original Ticket to Ride first. I try to buy a new family game each Christmas and had seen Ticket to Ride in Hamleys and read the reviews on Amazon. I thought that the game might require an interest in rail travel but it no more needs an interest in rail travel than Monopoly needs an interest in property development. Like Monopoly, you get points by collecting cards on each turn which allow you to capture train routes across Europe with bonus points for those with the longest route or those between specific destinations. The game kept our family of 7 involved for a 2-3h but the game doesn't involve any "big laughs" in the way that games like Articulate do. Be warned that of the many versions, most are extensions and that you have to purchase one of the base games first - of which this is one. Overall, a great alternative to Monopoly if you don't like the money aspect of that game, but expensive for what it is

I can't get enough of this game, it's such fun for family gatherings.

Best game to play with the family! We were offered one and when my nephew and niece visited we taught them how to play and before going back home (abroad) we bought this one for them! Highly recommend Easy instructions and hours of fun

Great expansion but you do need either the original game or the Europe one to play it.

Les 2 côtés du jeux (Old West & France) se jouent de façon très différente, donc c'est vrai chouette! Attention: il vous faut aussi avoir un des jeux de base (Amérique du Nord, Europe ou Allemagne) pour pouvoir jouer à celui-ci, car les cartes wagons et les wagons n'y sont pas.

une superbe édition de ce jeu "classique". Le plateau est magnifique. Seul regret: ce n'est pas l'Afrique complète, mais seulement le sud de l'Afrique. Nouvelle règle avec les cartes "terrain", ça apporte du renouveau aux Aventuriers "USA" et "Europe" aux règles classiques. Possibilité de jouer à 2, contrairement aux autres cartes plus grandes. Idéal pour 3.

This is not as advertised a complete set. It only consist of a board with Central and Southern Africa and destinations only. No playing cards, no trains and tokens. Extremely disappointed to have paid for a game I can do nothing with.
