A beautiful bowl. We use it for salad and it looks a treat on the table. Had to send back the medium size though and re-order the large, but then we eat a lot of salad.

Perfect salad bowl
I've had one of these for years and years and unfortunately dropped something on it and chipped the edge. Bought a replacement and glad it's still in production. Perfect size for salad. Looks great and the quality is excellent.

Ooh, I Love This Sophie Conran Bowl, But It's Way Overpriced!
I really do love this bowl, and I love the collection, too. And, I love the way it's packaged in that gorgeous box. It's currently being used as a fruit bowl and sits very nicely on my dining room table. However, I do think it's way overpriced at £44.00 for what it is. So, one star deducted, I'm afraid.

I was looking for a reasonably priced warm white piece to store in-progress yarn crafts, patterns and supplies--but that could also be used for chips, salad, and popcorn when I have guests. This is a good, versatile size for those purposes. It is a warm white, and because of the rippling, which casts shadows, the piece manages to work with whites and ivories. I have old ivory Gibson dishes--works with those, and it looks great with the white serving pieces that Target always sells. Best of all, it is dishwasher, microwave, freezer, oven-to-table safe.** What's not to love?

It is nice and large and a beautiful shape. Seems to be very sturdy. Not thin and fragile. Well made! Love the white bowl. Will make colorful salads POP!

Very happy with this line
I ordered many items from the Portmeiron Sophie Conran line besides this salad bowl and I'm very happy with the look and functionality of all of it. The only exception is the coffee mugs, which flare out from bottom to top and therefore aren't shaped well for stability or to retain heat.
