Instructions for washing machine unclear - should product go in drum or in powder dispenser?

I have a Siemens washing machine and put the powder in the drum.

how do i use this product in a dish washer

I've used the same brand, but delivered in sachets - I'd imagine usage is the same. It was clear on the instructions delivered in my case - but from memory it was running the dishwasher on a hot cycle empty, with the contents tipped inside. Worked well, and we descale around once a year now as routine.
