Wouldn't work in the Albert Hall but perfect for practicing and small environments like folk clubs. be realistic and don't expect too much and it won't annoy the neighbours but this is probably the best out there for its size - it's dinky. You'll need rechargeable batteries. I use it to boost an acoustic bass at folk sessions.

Probably one of the best little bass amps I’ve ever used. The two things I’ve taken away from using this amp that amazes me, are the sound quality and how long it lasts on 6 AA batteries. Honestly, the sound quality is amazing.. I have a fender rumble 100w .. it’s on par with that easily, it actually sounds like a bass should. I have another vox pathfinder amp, and you compare the sound quality with this little amp .. it’s so much better. The battery life is crazy, I still haven’t changed the batteries and I’ve literally been using it every week for hours on end .. it’s been about 4 months!!! Absolutely amazing. For the price, just buy it... it’s great for indoor us, and outdoor. My mate bought the guitar version and we’ve taken these outside and jammed, they’re definitely loud enough to busk too. Brilliant. Get one!!!!

Good product...although dialling in a good tone initially took a while and some trial and error.I bought this for hotel room practice and for that it is perfect as I have to consider other hotel guests but unamplified bass is just too quiet .Where this comes into its own is when you play audio source and your bass into it .Using a half decent pair of over the ear headphones...the sound blends together nicely when you are laying bass over the songs you are playing over the top of.

Excellent product. I have big amps and small amps for guitars and bass and recently purchased two fly 3 amps for my electro acoustic guitar and mic. Using them with the little additional extension cabinate. Great sound unlike other belt clip on amps and mini amps I had in the past that very quickly lost any quality that they did have. I use these fly 3's for acoustic jams, with an sm58 mic into one of them just to project my singing a little more. Obviously not for gigs. The bass amp is great too and I mainly wanted this to give my fretless acoustic bass a tad more projection. Does the job. Wouldn't use it to turn up loud as the nature of the lower frequency it doesn't work so amazingly very loud. Recommended if using as I am, to slightly amplify acoustic jams etc but not gigs although may be great too for busking. Try it!

I’m too old and weak to be getting my bass amp out when I’m in the mood. These little amps are great for practicing. So small you won’t need to pack it away when your done

After reading many reviews here and across the internet, I thought this was the perfect solution for me - my main amplifiers aren't in the house and I needed something compact and not too loud in order to practice. Unfortunately, as soon as I plugged my bass in and started playing, the sound was terrible - lots of hissing and background noise accompanying every note I played. I initially thought that it was on the overdrive channel, but turns out this was the clean channel. Thinking it might be my bass, I tried with another 2 of my basses - same result. Maybe it's the cable? After trying with 3 other cables, I was still getting the same distorted, hissing sound in the background. Turning the gain down and keeping the volume at below 2 seemed to get rid of the hissing, but the actual sound of the amp was nearly inaudible. Product has since been returned to Amazon and I bit the bullet and brought my main practice amp back home. Would not recommend.

I will divide this abbreviated review into two sections. Section one: 1) HEADPHONES. I give a small star for onboard electronics while using headphones. Overdrive, tone, subwoofer, gain works. Compressor extremely hissy, chokey and unstable, and erratic. It may work for some as a headphone amp. However, it may not make sense to have such a bulky headphone amp that takes 6 1.5V batteries. 2) THE SPEAKER. What the f**** is that??!! £60??!!! Blackstar, are you trying to knock off a thirty quid from us or so? Blackstar, you are undermining your reputation with this product. This is utter rubbish and can not compete with a guitar version in any respect. Another small star I add for the possibility of a quick return. Honestly, £30 it's the maximum I could cough up for that quasi amp. Returned.

Habe den Blackstar Fly Bass gekauft um unterwegs eine Alternative zu meinem Kopfhörerverstärker von VOX zu haben. Die zu erfüllenden Mindestvoraussetzung war ein Line In um MP3's während dem Üben mitlaufen zu lassen. Ein Kopfhörerausgang war wünschenswert aber kein Muss. Funktional und in Bezug zu den Möglichkeiten bietet der Fly Bass, im Vergleich mit anderen Geräten in der Größe ein überragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das mir gelieferte Gerät hat allerdings deutliche Schwächen, wobei mir aktuell nicht klar ist ob diese beim Fly Bass generell nunmal so sind, oder ob ich einen Rückläufer erhalten habe, welcher technisch nicht einwandfrei ist. Auffällig war, dass die Originalverpackung mit einem 2. Klebeband verschlossen war und der, laut Rezessionen eines anderen Onlineshop, normalerweise vorhandene Trennstreifen zwischen den standardmäßig bereits eingelegten Batterien und den Kontakten fehlte. An dem mir gelieferten Gerät ist zu bemängeln, dass die beiden mittleren Regler eigentlich unbrauchbar sind. Da bei diesen, mit Ausnahme der 0-Stellung starkes Rauschen erzeugt wird und die Töne beim Spielen in der Lautstärke , . Der Gain-Regler kann zu max. einem drittel genutzt werden, darüber ist der Klang unbrauchbar. Der Klang insgesamt ist brauchbar und zum Üben ausreichend. Die Materialanmutung und Verarbeitung ist für ein Gerät mit der Ausstattung und in dieser Preisklasse sehr gut. Da ich es hier nicht gefunden hatte, habe ich mir das Netzteil bei einem großen Musikhaus dazubestellt. Ich werde das Gerät mit dem Netzteil, ohne Batterien über das Wochenende testen und am Montag entscheiden, ob ich es zurücksende oder mit den vorhandenen Defiziten behalten werde. Entsprechend der genannten Probleme gebe ich dem Fly Bass max. 3 Sterne. Nachtrag: Nachdem ich gestern 2 Stunden mit dem Fly Bass verbracht und dabei sämtliche Einstellungsvarianten, sowohl an Bass als auch Verstärker (Fender Jazzbass aus der American Elite- Serie + verschiedene Kabel) durchprobiert habe geht der Fly Bass morgen zurück. Der Klang ist zumindest bei meinem Gerät katastrophal. Rauschen, Kratzen und Scheppern ist nicht akzeptabel. Das Klangbild wäre bei Nichtvorhandensein der Störgeräusche in Ordnung. Bezogen auf das mir gelieferte Gerät korrigiere ich die Bewertung auf zwei Sterne nach unten. Zwei Sterne bleiben für die Ausstattung.

自宅マンションでのちょい弾き練習のための小さいアンプが欲しかったのですが、これだけ小さいとさすがにどうかなぁ、と悩んだものの試しに購入して大正解。10〜15Wぐらいの小型の（コンセントに挿して使う）アンプとで悩みましたが、（１）場所を取りすぎる、（２）10〜15Wと言えども音が大きすぎるので常に最小で使う事になりそう、（３）何より「ちょい弾き」のお手軽さが欲しく、いつでもすぐに使える場所に出しておけるのが欲しくて決めました。 音はと言うと、当たり前ですが、小型ですから普通のサイズのアンプのような音量も低音も出ません。しかし、ベース用だけのことはあって、想像していた以上にしっかり太さのある音は出ました。音量も申し分なし、3Wと言いつつ最大音量ではマンションでは使えません。必要十分でした。そして何よりも、小さくて「その辺においておける」からすぐに使えるお手軽さが良い。他の方が書かれている付属の乾電池の液漏れ問題ですが、今は電池は付属しません。（笑）最初からきちんとした電池を入れる、液漏れするような経年劣化が起きる前に交換すれば大丈夫です。（これはアンプ側の問題ではなく電池側の問題ですので。）

I bought jt it as a practice amp . It works ok but make sure you get the correct external power supply. I didn't and blew the circuit in the amp. It still woks buy only off the batteries.

Es un ampli sencillo, sólo 3 vatios de potencia, y con un sonido aceptable. La mayor ventaja de este amplificador es su tamaño ya que puedes llevarle a todas partes sin ningún problema, ya que también pesa muy poco. Cuenta con un canal de overdrive que puede venir bien según qué situaciones, una EQ con un sonido decente que tiene como extra un potenciometro de "Sub" para potenciar las frecuencias más graves. Lo que menos me convence es el compresor, que para mi gusto no suena muy bien y sus opciones son más bien limitadas. El ampli también cuenta con entrada auxiliar y salida de cascos, muy utiles para ensayar por ejemplo. En resumen, un amplificador más que recomendable ya que por su bajo precio tienes un amplificador para ensayar que puedes llevar a todas partes. En cuanto al envío fue fácil y rápido, sin ningún problema.

Très petit HP donc on est loin d'un "vrai" ampli mais la restitution d'un son d'une guitare basse reste plus correct qu'avec un haut parleur non-dedié basse même si ce n'est toujours pas ça... Le volume est suffisant pour jouer seul mais un peu limite pour jouer avec une guitare acoustique Les contrôles sont pas terrible: -OD et compresseur inutilisables -Gain et EQ sont à ajuster pour extraire un bon son suffisamment fort et non pas un choix pour chercher un son voulu La finition est très plastique, très cheap et n'inspire pas beaucoup de confiance pour balader sans souci au fond d'un sac Line in et du marketing qui suggère qu'il peut être utiliser comme un HP musique mais le son est mauvais Nécessite 6piles AA (rechargeable c'est mieux) mais tient en autonomie =>Le concept est top et peut faire un job pour des usages/attentes bien précis mais on atteint rapidement ses limites Dommage car quelques modification de conception (quelques décibel de plus, contrôles simples utilisable, boîtier plus robuste, alim/batterie rechargeable) et ça sera une tuerie
