Good laptop ram very quick great upgrade

Well packaged in a neat little box, this memory was a piece of cake to install in my Dell Precision laptop dating from 2020. I haven't benchmarked it but its specifications are good, and 32GB is the perfect amount of memory for heavy use (I'm a software developer). The laptop feels faster overall, no more Out Of Memory errors when I have everything open at the same time, and just better. Very very satisfied with this upgrade.

32GB dual channel RAM at 2666MHz is the maximum capacity supported by my Dell G5 5590 and wanted a full upgrade so this fit the bill. Just a note I'm only 2 days into using the RAM but it's amazing so far. Firstly, easy to install into the laptop... simply remove backplate screws, pop out the existing RAM and then install the new sticks. Great thing with SODIMM is it's impossible to install the wrong way round due to the connectors. Specs wise here is my laptop: i7 9750H 2.6GHz 1660Ti 8GB RAM -> 32GB RAM This upgrade has now enabled me to play games I couldn't before, for example Watch Dogs 2 (less than 20FPS at times). When I booted it before (8GB) it complained I didn't have enough RAM (despite 8GB being recommended specs). FYI I usually play with Discord running and I have apps such as OneDrive and Norton AV soaking up resources. 32GB now makes games such as Watch Dogs 2 and Control playable on High Settings with solid 60+ FPS. 32 is probably overkill I'm sure but didn't fancy upgrading again and computer is running great... would highly recommend. If my opinion changes over time I'll be sure to amend this...

Nothing to dislike. I installed this ram into a machine that is not listed as compatible and it still worked like a charm (I have a AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with a base clock of 2.10 GHz). Sadly, the ram can only clock up to 2400 MHz because of my hardware limitations. This has provided me with enough resources to run VMs, Linux shells within windows and envs performing calculations for projects- all the while having enough ram to spare to browse the internet with 20+ tabs open in Firefox. Outside of work and productivity, the additional memory has removed performance bottlenecks from every ram hungry game I've played to date. Great product that I would suggest anyone to get!

I bought these several years ago, and they're still working great and performing like new several years after purchase, and long after the stock RAM sticks that came with my laptop died. Corsair is a smart buy, and a monolith in the RAM market. They've been in the RAM game for a bit and they know what they're doing. Buy some Corsair RAM, but, for the sake of avoiding a bad experience if you don't know what you're doing or looking at when you buy computer RAM, ask some computer geek people to look at what exactly you need, because if you get the wrong clock speed, and mix it with other RAM of different clock speeds, different latencies, and other bits of techno-babbley stuff, you might not have the best experience, so, there's more than the GB number you need to know. You'll need to know what generation of RAM works best for your computer DDR4? DDR5? DDR ... what?, what form-factor your computer needs (SO-DIMM in my case for laptop), what clock speed your computer works best and is compatible with (if you get a high clock speed that your computer doesn't support, then it probably won't work, and if you get a really low clock speed, you could make your computer even slower), ... and then there's a latency group of numbers, but, this isn't as important unless you're squeezing for maximum performance and if so, then you'll want to be picky. Anyway, that's enough of my babble. Buy Corsair RAM. Their in the top of RAM pick choices, and I expect they always will be.

Ich habe mir das Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 32GB Kit (2x16GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, CL18) für mein etwas älteres Notebook zugelegt, das mit einem Intel Core i7 der 8. Generation läuft – und der Unterschied ist deutlich spürbar. Vorteile: Starke Performance: Der RAM läuft stabil bei 2666 MHz und sorgt für deutlich flüssigeres Multitasking. Besonders bei speicherintensiven Anwendungen wie Videobearbeitung oder Virtual Machines ist der Unterschied enorm. Kompatibilität: Die Module wurden sofort erkannt und funktionieren ohne BIOS-Anpassung. Mein Laptop hatte vorher 8 GB – mit 32 GB ist es ein ganz anderes Arbeiten. Zuverlässigkeit: Ich habe den RAM jetzt seit mehreren Wochen täglich im Einsatz, inklusive längerer Sessions unter hoher Last, und bislang keinerlei Abstürze oder Hänger. Markenqualität: Wie man es von Corsair kennt, machen Verarbeitung und Stabilität einen sehr soliden Eindruck. Technisch gesehen: DDR4 mit 2666 MHz ist zwar nicht das schnellste auf dem Markt, aber für viele Notebooks genau das, was sie brauchen – vor allem bei CPUs, die ohnehin keine höheren Taktraten unterstützen. Die Latenz von CL18 ist für diesen Bereich absolut in Ordnung, und in der Praxis merkt man kaum einen Unterschied zu schnelleren RAM-Modulen mit engeren Timings. Nachteile: Kein wirklicher Nachteil, aber wer ein Notebook mit nur einem RAM-Slot hat, muss natürlich vorher prüfen, ob zwei Module überhaupt genutzt werden können. In meinem Fall war das kein Problem. Fazit: Top-Upgrade für ältere oder mid-range Laptops, die mit DDR4-2666 umgehen können. Wer seinem Gerät mehr Luft zum Atmen geben will, macht mit diesem Set definitiv nichts falsch. Volle 5 Sterne.
