Perfect! I love my Cyglolite and needed THIS!
I swear by my tail light. I got a new bike with a custom painted seatpost. So wrapping a clamp or anything around it is no longer an option for me. This rail mount is PERFECT. Your light snaps into place at a nice highly visible place.It may be a problem if you have a saddle bag, but I can't use one of those around my seatpost anymore either. The things we do to keep a custom paintjob. I for one am glad Cyclolite had this option. A solid purchase.

Difficult Light Installation Not for Everybody
Let me preface this by saying I love my Cygolite Hypershot tail lights more than almost any other bike-related product I have ever purchased. I have at least four of them, as well as a Hotshot. They are used on every bike in our house. To date they were all mounted with the bracket that came with the light. I bought the Cygolite Saddle Rail Mount to see if it would mount a Hypershot higher on my road bike. When that didn't work, I decided to install it on my mountain bike to replace the mount installed on my dropper post. It really didn't work well for either application. For this reason I am warning you that it might not be right for your bike. Because I couldn't get a good photo of the problem, I took photos to illustrate the problem. If you look at the bottom of the Cygolite Hypershot clip, it has a little curl in the plastic. That requires you to tip the light back, inserting the tip, before sliding the light down straight into the mounting bracket. The curl locks it in place and keeps it secure. Great design. Unfortunately, on the Cygolite Saddle Rail Mount, there isn't enough space between the rails mount and bottom of the saddle to perform that starting tilt. You can hardly get the tip in the right spot, and on my bikes, there is no room to tip it back to actually start sliding it down. The saddle in the product listing photo has a very high swoop like a dovetail that gets out of the way. My saddles are all much flatter in design, and offer no much space. I even tried sliding the tail light in from the bottom, which worked, but I feared it would just fall out while riding. By forcing the bottom edge to slip past the plastic rails, I was able to get it on my mountain bike, but forcing anything plastic is a recipe for disaster. For this reason I would not buy it again. Love the concept, but it just doesn't work. Be aware that you need a solid 2.5" of space from the anticipated mount point and seat bottom (preferably more) to get it to fit.

Amazing
A++++ super bright fit perfect

Simple to install and use
It’s not a tight fit so there’s a slight jiggle where I sometimes double-check to make sure the light is still there after hitting some bigger bumps but hasn’t come off yet and don’t think it will.

Sturdy saddle mount (not)
6/25 update: only took 2 rides for the screws to come undone and lose the entire thing. Needs either some kind of locking but at the end or screws with loctite already applied. Retraced my steps to try and find the light but couldn't. $40 light and $10 mount gone just like that. I suggest using zip ties or something as a sort of backup in case the screws come loose like mine. Extremely disappointed. Great addition to my bike. Especially since the original mount that came with my light is already on another bike. Can be tricky to install but not impossible. Will not be able to be installed on wide seats or those with spring suspensions on it.

Great mount for my childs bike
The mount was made for adult bikes but fits my kids specialized 20” bike saddle. Works great and holes the hotshot perfectly in place. Super easy to install.

Recomendable
