Gorgeous rich sheen
After initially looking at another wax polish for my pale new pine TV unit, another Amazon customer advised me to try this brand and even recommended the correct colour that I would need to 'age' my new furniture and match it in with my old-skool Ducal. How glad I was that I took his advice - it's absolutely spot-on! The colour is a perfect match and the wax glides on easily and buffs-up a treat. Very good stuff. Hardly any smell either, which you sometimes get with these intensive waxes so, no banging headache or dizziness whilst applying. Work with the grain of the wood though - I got impatient with one part and applied the polish in round swirls - big mistake! It left noticeable lines on the wood but luckily it's at the side and can't be seen so, be patient and work with the grain for the best results. It does give a gorgeous rich sheen and has made my pale and uninteresting furniture look ten times better.* I am writing this much later as I feel the need to point out the fact that the stuff does come off onto dusters when just doing routine polishing with an ordinary wax spray polish but this tapers off after three or four goes and does not affect the colour which stays in the wood. Perhaps I just put too much on in the first place but it did make rather a mess of my dusters so perhaps it's best to use a cotton rag to polish for the first few times until the excess has finally come off or you'll end up throwing all your dusters away like I did!

Beautiful Result On Pine
Brought this for a project up cycling scaffolding boards into shelves. The one tin did 9 planks of 1.2 metres in length (front, back, ends and sides)For me I only did one coat as it was older wood and had some character to it, if you were looking at fresh pine you would need two coats.Wax worked in warmer weather.Take breaks often as fumes give horrible headaches

Great wax, easy to use for beginners
The media could not be loaded. I made shelves from scratch for the first time recently, as we moved to a new house. I had planks (timber planks and scaffolding boards) that required sanding and some form of protection. I knew nothing of what products to use, so I went with what most recommended - Danish oil. But I thought the finish did not look what I wanted, I.e. a tinted smooth surface, that would take away the yellow-y pale colour of the raw timber and giving it a more mature look. This product was exactly what I wanted. It can be used on raw sanded surface or a product that already has a coat of Danish oil (or some other oil). It doesn't require any prep at all, apart from a sanded, clean surface, but I did think it went on smoother if I used 1 coat of Danish oil beforehand and left it for a few days to cure.I don't know why there's no good pictures of how it looks on wood before and after here on amazon, so here you go! It has a lovely aged look to it, takes away a bit of that natural yellow tint and enhances the natural grain of the wood. It's so easy to put on, just leave it to dry afterwards. Please note, that the rougher the texture of the wood (either because it's not sanded down enough or because of natural 'flaws' in the wood), the more wax stays on the surface. I think it makes it look even better that way, gives it a more natural, aged look to it.All in all, I am so happy with this wax, I think the colour is perfect for what we needed. And honestly - I think my new shelves look great!

Im a Briwax user - or was
I thought I would give this a try being so much cheaper than Bri Wax - I have a cottage full of old pine furniture. I find this is brilliant. I wont be going back to Briwax. Perfect results.

It does what it says on the tin!
I love waxed old furniture- I bought the stripped pine shade because I have a lovely honey coloured Edwardian wardrobe- and didnt want to make it darker or leave it the same colour- just enhance it- it did a lovely job
