Hill's Science Diet Kitten Wet Cat Food, Chicken, 5.5 oz. Cans, 24-Pack

Hills science diet was one of the brand recommended by my veterinarian for my severely underweight kitten. After trying all the brands suggested it become clear that this was his favorite. I'm very pleased with this product, my kitten weight keeps on improving surpassing what the vet expected, and his health is finally restored. I alternate different flavours so doesn't get habituated to eat only one but "Healthy cuisine- chicken" flavored followed by "Chunk and gravy chicken{ are his favorite. All the shipments I received were intact and the food fresh with plenty of time to the expiration day. I believe that receiving broken cans is more a fault of the shipping or stocking than the quality of the product, I'm sure Amazon will address the problem if that happens,unless the product is consistently rotten or expired those reviews should be on the seller page instead of the product page. Broken or banged cans result on rancid food no matter what product or store.

My friend is a vet and he says Hills Science Diet is the best for pet nutrition. I pay extra for Hills because of this and because my two little guys I got from rescue recently had some health issues, very skinny etc, and I want them to get healthy and strong. So far, so good. Smells like roast chicken with gravy; haven’t tasted it yet LOL. Per vet, I empty the can into bowl, add about 2 tablespoons of water to can, swirl it around to get the last bits of gravy and meat, and add that to the bowl, and stir. This way, they get a little extra water / hydration which they need, especially because they eat mostly dry food (except morning feeding and nighttime feeding).

It tastes delicious! Well, to my kittens it does. Ideally I would like grain-free (like Wellness), but Science Diet has a wide variety of kitten foods so I have stuck with them. My babies are 12 weeks now and they started on SD at 3 weeks. We had a minced one then with KMR, but once they got this chicken tender kind they were freaking out. I like that I can order it here & it costs only a few dollars more for the 5oz cans than it does for the 3oz at my local pet supply store. My kittens go through a case FAST, so ordering online is easy and I can get these larger cans that I can't find at most pet suppliers (not in kitten versions anyway). SD has a good selection for kittens, though most are minced. My two don't care much for the seafood kind so they primarily eat the chicken & liver or the chicken tenders. The latter being their favourite, probably because of the gravy & the chewing chunks. I'm a vegan & I know that if I were a kitten I'd want to eat this food! :)

Kitten likes the food. Kitten can digest the food. First order one can arrived dented. It also took an extra day to arrive. Recent order arrived on time but three cans were open. Therefore those are unusable. This brand and flavor is hard to find locally which is why I ordered from Amazon.

I have an 8 month old kitten who absolutely loves this canned food. While originally I fed him Royal Canin, it ended up being a tad bit too expensive for me (being on a college student budget and all) so I gradually switched to this brand of canned food. I researched canned food beforehand and decided that based on my kitten, this seemed to be the best option. I have bought the 5 oz canned food and have been able to split the can into approximately 4-5 different feedings. I tend to mix a part of the canned food with a 1/4 of a cup of dry food and my kitten loves it. My little kitten does not really like dry food all that much but when I mix the canned food the gray is a great addition and my kitten eats it all up. In order to store the kitten food if your kitten does not eat it all in one time, I just remove the top lid and place the can in a ziploc bag and place it in the fridge (not freezer). It keeps it fresh and I am able to use it for the remaining feedings. I would highly recommend this kitten food to anyone. My kitten is fed at the same time every day and he has even learned to beg for this food. I definitely can tell he likes it!

I recently had to change my kittens food and based on reviews, I chose Hills Science Diet Chicken wet food. I like that it comes in the 5.5 oz cans. I have 2 six month old kittens and if I had to get the 2.8 oz cans, I'd be going through 6 each day. This kitten food does not smell like other kitten/cat foods I've tried. It's not an unpleasant odor. Little did I know when I chose this brand, it would be hard to find, like other kitten foods. Luckily Amazon had it. As long as the kittens keep eating it, I'll continue to buy it

My kitten loves this food, so I decided to subscribe monthly. Everything was fine except one can arrived punctured, like something stabbed it, so it’s not usable. Since I paid for a 24 pack, I would appreciate a replacement for that one damaged can
