We purchased this at a time when the main Wingspan board game was out of stock everywhere and my daughter was desperate to play. We were not disappointed with this expansion pack as it has everything in it for a great game. My daughter had played before and I was completely new to the game - both of us enjoyed the experience so it works well for new and familiar players. Initially a bit surprised at the cost, after opening up the box and playing the game, I can see why it is relatively expensive for a board game. The quality of every element from cards to 'eggs' to the playing boards are superb and very well thought out. I particularly liked the instructions. As quite a complex game for new players, having the 'first run through' instructions to help walk you through the first few rounds in an excellent idea, making complete and quick sense of how to play. It also teaches you some of the game tactics in an intuitive and straight forward way. A lot of other game companies should take note! I have now bought the full game as we enjoy this gorgeous expansion set so much. Thoroughly recommend for a gentle, absorbing and tactical game to play with friends and family.

This game is fabulous

I bought this as a Christmas present, and I hope the recipient will be really pleased with it, but no doubts with Wingspan. It is a fun game, easy to play and full of different scenarios!

This is an excellent game, both stand alone in duet mode and as an expansion to the original Wingspan. Paul

THE GAME IS AWESOME, HAD TO GET THIS CLEVER AND BEAUTIFUL Expansion Pack for my friend and look forwards to playing it more often, I recommend this For People who love playing the game or that are into ornithology, The Birds are Beautiful and has some facts on some cards about the Birds, Thank you ^_^

Good game, quick delivery & unmarked box

We've mostly used this as a standalone two-player game, rather than combining it with the base set. In this regard it... mostly works. It's an enjoyable game, and the artwork that made the original so eye-catching is just as present here. If you're used to the base game though, Asia can start to feel a little off. Rather than needing to balance all four habitats, it's easy to create an engine that negates the need for one of them. For example, enough non-grassland birds have egg-laying powers that you can go the whole game without needing a single grassland bird. Whether this is just a different game requiring a different strategy or a lack of balance is up to you. If you enjoy Wingspan and want to expand the experience, I can definitely recommend this - either as a two-player standalone or to expand the base game to six players. But be prepared to adapt your play style slightly.

I bought this having never played Wingspan before, nor do I own the original. Beautifully illustrated game, lovely quality pieces. Bought to play the Duet version and the 1 player autonoma. Duet version great, autonoma slightly more complicated. Read the rule books first but would suggest just watching one of the multiple YouTube tutorials as that helped hugely. Lovely addition to the board game collected.

Best game ever!

Me encantó. Llegó antes de lo esperado, todo en perfectas condiciones. Muy recomendado si tienes solo el juego base, buena opción de jugabilidad solo para dos jugadores o para incorporar al juego base, incluso para jugar de 6 o 7 jugadores.

This has to be my favourite board game to date. Elizabeth’s illustrations are gorgeous and so fun to look at. There are a lot of different anti gs to keep track of in the original version, this expansion has even more with the duet tokens which is both exciting and can be a little overwhelming at times if you like to move through the game quickly as I find often happens with just two players. I haven’t had the chance to try this expansion with more than 2 people yet but I can imagine it will be a lot of fun!
