Expensive, but worth the extra money spent!!!
Don't get me wrong the NF-A14 iPPC fans are excellent fans it does not matter if you buy the 2000 or 3000RPM models of these. they will not fail to impress.. I have purchased multiple NF-A14's for two gaming rigs I own, they were purchased to replace my Corsair RGB Mag-Lev fans I originally purchased for the machines.. Although the Corsair fans look great and do a good job of keeping my system cool at stock speeds, any sort of overclock and they just could not shift enough air to cool my loop in a sensible manner. So I opted to try the Noctua Fan's as everyone else seemed to rate them as really good fans. I have to admit that going forwards, I will only be using Noctua's fans for any builds and my recommendations will be don't do RGB Fan's... Performance over aesthetic's any day of the week for me. Cons They are as expensive as RGB fan's if not more expensive in some cases. They are noisier than most fans on the market when running 50% speed or higher. They have a slightly higher energy consumption than some other non-RGB fans. At high RPM speeds they are louder than your average fan, so you will here them. Extra expense for buying the coloured Chromax Anti Vibration Pads, if you want to make then fit the theme for your build. 3000RPM design may struggle to reach fully speed through 3rd party Fan controllers due to the slightly higher Watt/Amp rating of the fans. Most motherboard fan headers can handle them though, But always check the spec before buying. Pro's They are INDUSTRIAL Grade fans. They have an IP rating against liquids and dust. They achieve HIGHER RPM's than most other fans manufactures. They work In both SP and AF jobs. 2000RPM models shift enough air for almost all users needs. 3000RPM models shift far more air than most people will ever need, but at the expense of noise (obviously). Very well, packaged. Well designed commercial Product available to the public.... what is not to like about that!!! In my opinion who would not like Industrial grade fans with higher performance and design characteristics for longevity in high intensity workload environments for around the same price as aftermarket RGB fans. I just cant see what is not to like about these...

Simply amazing fans
I'm really, really impressed with these NF-A14 industrialPPC PWM fans from Noctua. Not only do they have the same excellent 6 warranty and build quality of Noctua's other products, these are black/brown which is a massive improvement over their normal colour scheme of beige/brown. I ended up purchasing 5 of these in total to replace a combination of Silent Wings 3 and EK Vardar 140ER fans in my PC, which has a custom water cooling loop. I was never quite happy with the Silent Wings 3 fans because they didn't push much air and had a rather noticeable whine at full speed and the EK Vardar fans seemed fairly loud at lower RPMs (it was more of a motor tone than the sound of air moving that I could hear). I initially purchased just one Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC PWM fan just to see how it performed and at what kind of noise levels. However, after installing the fan to one of my radiators and playing around with different fan speeds etc. it became apparent very quickly that this fan moved a lot of air and at 1000 RPM (50%) it was still nearly silent. There simply was no comparison as the EK Vardar at the same RPM was noticeably louder. As a result I purchased another 4 Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC PWM fans to replace all the fans in my PC (not a cheap investment, I know!). After installing them my computer is nearly silent in normal use with these fans running at about 300-400 rpm. Under heavy load and gaming (with a 1080 in the loop) the fans will run at about 40% and are still very quiet. I've not found I've needed to set them any faster than that to maintain a reasonable delta T. When the fans are set to 100% then they are very loud but it is the sound of air moving. With 5 of them running at 100% it sounds like a vacuum cleaner and is not very pleasant, nor bearable! Unlike the normal beige/brown Noctua fans these do not come with many accessories in the box such as extension cables, splitters, low noise adapters etc.You literally just get fan and 4 screws so as a result the fans do work out quite expensive but I wholeheartedly can say these are the best fans I've ever bought and are worth every penny.

The worlds greatest fan. If you have a decent mobo bios ...
The worlds greatest fan. If you have a decent mobo bios get the 2000rpm NF-A14 PWM. The smaller 120s are noisy and the 3000rpm are super noisy above 1700rpm. The ip67 means they are waterproof so unless you need them get the normal ones. I took off the brown rubber corners and replaced them with small black rubberised pins that you can find on my purchases. GET THE NF-A14 PPC 2000PWM.. as i promise they are the ones you want for every task i have 13 of them. I bought over 100 fans these destroy everything. Tips; They are silent below 1200rpm and they shift soooo much air at 300-800rpm that they never need to go flat out so make sure your bios has the fan headers set to pwm and the minimum rpm should be 300. Every other fan i used even the most silent ones i could find got destroyed by these as they shift so much air at low rpm that you will only ever hear them blowing loud on boot up. When you hear how crazy they are on boot up you realise they never get flustered by heat they will only ever run full rpm on boot up. I covered one of mine in spray paint lacquer to bring out the black and its worked perfectly so if you want a metalic black look or whant to apply paint they are so well balanced that it makes no difference. THE WORLDS GREATEST FAN!!

Noisy but good
Got this as a backup for the top of my case if the CPU gets really hot. It's very noisy, so I had to tweak the smart fan speed so it only goes above 50% when the CPU hits 75+ degrees, and that works well for me (only happens occasionally) If you want a quiet fan then don't get this, but if you want to shift air when a CPU gets really hot, then this is for you.

Never did I know that it was my old case fan limiting air flow, causing high temps. Now temps are at cozy 72c full load. With this powerful fan, I can run it at 2k rpm on full load and never feel like the pc is taking off. Turns my pc into a mini wind tunnel too

I'll never buy fans that aren't from Noctua. They're able to be very silent with PWM and low RPM but they're able to move a heck of a lot of air when needed! I have five of these spread across two different radiators. The 12cm version is as good and I used them in a different build with some narrower radiators. Can't beat Noctua.
