Well Built
always had a metal mailbox, this is the first time we considered plastic. we looked at all the big box stores and hardware stores too, lots of manufacturers, but this one is very very well made and sturdy, easy to install with easy instructions, newspaper holder underneath is deep enough to keep the paper dry too, door magnet seems plenty strong, but time will tell on that but it shouldn't change We like it a lot, looks good

Love it!
Very good quality and sharp looking. Instructions were a little hard to understand. It says '2 people recommended', I did this alone. It was easy to install once I figured it out. You will need to purchase a 4x4 treated lumber and install it in concrete. It doesn't come with reflectors, I would recommend purchasing them. It's very nice and I would definitely buy this again.

I love my Step 2 Lakewood Mailbox and Post. It is attractive and well built. The brown and black color combination is great. Plenty of room inside.

Attractive, Easy to assemble, Sturdy
This is a nice looking, generously sized mailbox. I had a cute mailbox I liked, but hoodlums took it out with a baseball bat, so I wanted to get something as attractive as the previous one. This mailbox, even though plastic, doesn’t look cheap, although price wise it’s a bargain! I bought it as an Amazon return, and all of the pieces were there and in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble using a drill, screwdriver, and wrench. Now I just hope this one doesn’t attract anyone wielding a baseball bat.

The posts have a classy wood look to them, but being plastic will not rot. The mailbox itself is huge, and I got the standard size, not the XL! It saves our mailwoman a lot of steps to deliver small/medium size parcels. The mailbox was very easy to install onto the 4x4 post, maybe 20 minutes. The most time consuming part was digging out the old post and putting the new one in. The top portion of the mailbox arrive with some long scratches, and I was missing a few bolt covers, but the step2 customer service agent was very prompt in responding and shipping out replacements. Very happy customer!
