Philips GC2048/80 Easyspeed Steam Iron with 120g Steam Boost and Ceramic Soleplate, 270 ml, 2300 Watt, Purple

I have had this iron a few weeks now and am very impressed. It is light weight, easy to use and has plenty of steam when you need it. The water does seem to be used up quite quickly when steaming but this doesn't bother me particularly as it takes seconds to refill. The ceramic base glides over clothing without catching and creasing. The lead isn't very long but this is the case with most irons now so I use an extension lead. Am very happy with and would recommend.

I'm not an iron connoisseur but this is everything I need it to be. Very quick to iron anything and holds plenty of water. No leaks, easy to use. The pointy tip is great for getting into awkward places. The lead is just long enough. Because of reviews mentioning leaks, I read the instructions which say to select a non steam setting when using at cooler temps otherwise water is still fed out. This probably explains leak issues some people have had.

This steam iron was purchased for my wife, she likes it very much as it is very light, the steam works fine but the turbo boost steam is a gimmic and does not seem to work at all, but do not let that put you off buying this product, im satisfied with this product.

Absolutely rubbish iron! Total waste of money for a number of reasons. 1. Cable is way too short. You have to stand right next to the socket to get iron to reach end of ironing board as the cable is so short. 2. Water tank is about as voluminous as an egg cup. 3. I have no idea why iron manufacturers persist in making the water level in the tank completely invisible (through the use of plastic that is so dark that no human could ever see through it) but this would be so simple to remedy that I find it unbelievably irritating. 4. Shirts have the appearance of having been made from that crinkle fabric even after using this iron.

Love this iron. My last iron was a bit heavy but this is perfect although I need to keep refilling it for the steam, but hey what's a couple of extra refills when it's light, glides along the clothes and bedding effortlessly and looks lovely too. Really pleased with my purchase.

I have had Philips irons in the past which have been really good and have lasted a long time. But this one comes nowhere near. The colour and design are fine, but the performance is dreadfully poor. Couldn't get the iron to work unless it was on the three dots and even then, there was hardly any steam. Sent it back and replaced with a Tefal Ultraglide.

Iron is very lightweight which is good, good steam when needed, over all the iron is good but the down side is the cable is to short but the iron overall is a good bye and l would rate it as a 8 out of 10.

This iron is very well made and excellent value. I had previously owned to cheap models but neither was any good, so don't skimp on your iron and buy a decent one like this. Highly recommended.
