Very happy with purchase and the bundle it came with. Lots of learning to do to learn how to get the best out of it but so far, I’ve found it fairly user friendly and there’s good YouTube tutorials to help you learn. My only gripe, and the fault is totally mine as a complete novice, is that it’s a bit heavy to have clipped on rucksack strap or worn on the head. For what I wanted it for, I probably should’ve researched a smaller option but the camera itself and how user friendly it is is very good.

Not bad but somehow disappointed with complicated interface and the charges for cloud storage in order to share the 360 pictures. Would not buy again in app adverts which really piss me off. Update. The company has responded to my issues and after some advice they have improved my experience of the product.

Would highly recommend

The Insta360 X3 is packed with features — smooth 360° video, waterproof housing, and excellent stabilization. Great for action shots and travel content. The beginner’s bundle is handy since it includes essential accessories, though there’s a learning curve with the software. Once you get used to it, the results are impressive.

Firstly, the included SD card was corrupted and couldn't be formatted in the camera. It wouldn't show up on my iMac to be formatted but luckily it showed up in my PC laptop. After a bit of messing about, I got the camera connected to my phone and did 2 short 360 test videos which worked fine. Went to the event that I bought the camera for and tried a 360 video but it only filmed out of 1 side. Tried taking 360 degree photos put again it only photographed out of 1 side. Then it dropped connection and refused to reconnect. I restarted the phone and camera but no luck. I tried again 2 hours later and it connected but continuously hung either when trying to start a recording or changing the camera function. It wasn't thinking about doing anything, it had just frozen and the only way to get back was to remove the battery, refit it and then desperately attempt to connect again. So you couldn't control it from the phone remotely or start anything directly on the camera. This is very poor for a £500 camera. The buttons and menus are poorly thought out and the app is what you'd expect for a £50 Chinese dash camera, an absolute mess.

This camera is AWESOME. My husband uses on inspections and gives a full 360. He’s able to give great footage of buildings.

I bought few months ago. Overall I enjoy working with this thing the quality is good battery life is acceptable. You are getting what you paid for, $400 is kinda a lot, but it's worth the quality, at the same time I can't say "oh considering the price, it's really good!" No it's just worth $400. If you want short answer: yes I recommend it!
