Simple, fun cooperative game
My 5 year old enjoyed playing this.. Really easy to learn. Not sure how much life there is in it as it is very 'samey', but for what it costs, it's been worth it already.

Good quick game, encourages teamwork.
This is a good little game for children under 8. You play as a team in a race against the Ogre to get to the treasure 1st. Easy to play you roll 2 dice to place 4 keys & an Ogre snack on the game board and the rest is just turning over cards which will either be a path or an Ogre. If it is a path you have to work out between you which direction to take on the game board to collect 3 of the 4 keys you need and possibly the Ogre snack which can be used to slow the Ogre down. If you turn over an Ogre card you place it on the Ogre's route to the treasure which is a straight route. Your route is longer than the Ogres but there are more path cards than Ogre cards. Part of the excitement for kids is what card will be turned over next and can you collect the keys and get your path to the treasure before the Ogre. I have played this quite a few times with my just turned 7 year old granddaughter and she has enjoyed it. On average you probably beat the Ogre 4 out of 5 times. Game lasts about 5-10 minutes.

Thumbs up.
My 4 and 6 year olds like this game, and it's nice that they are playing together rather than against each other. Plus it's simple enough for me to let them play together without needing any help. Would recommend.

Excellent game
Really pleased with this game. It and the Cauldron Quest game were bought mainly because my grandson is very competitive and gets extremely upset when he loses at anything. So I was looking for something which we could enjoy, without having winners and losers and this fits the bill perfectly. There is still the competitive element, as youโre playing against the game, but everyone is on the same side, and it also encourages them to learn to work together. The rules are simple, but the game is different each time because of the different placing of the keys. Grandchildren are 5, 6 and 7 and all love it.

Nice game, well made, good for encouraging team work
Our 4 year old is just getting into board games and we have quite a few competitive games, so we wanted to have at least one where the focus is on working together without a single winner at the end. The game is fun, you have to build a path to collect keys to unlock the treasure before the ogres get to the bottom of the board. It's well made and is good quality cardboard with wooden die, so no plastic counters. My one gripe is that because it has two special die, and I have a four year old who is a bit random and likes to make up her own games, the dice with letters on it has gone missing already (it's probably been used as part of big rabbit's breakfast or in on one of umpteen million sylvanian picnics) and it can't be replaced with a normal dice. Would recommend.

So much fun!
Peaceable Kingdom have done it again. Another brilliant co-operative game, had us howling with excitement to see if we could defeat the ogre. Easy but interesting to set up, my 6 yr old daughter was making a strategy before we'd even started playing. Excellent to help family members bond! Thanks, Peaceable Kingdom!

Fun cooperative game
This is a fun cooperative game where you all play together as a team to try and get to the treasure before the troll does. I liked that it was simple to set up and play, and the children (4 and 6) could both play it together

Fun well balanced collaborative game
This is a fun one for the kiddos. Probably best for 7 and under. Nice collaboration. Well balanced where you sometimes lose to the ogre.

Its quite a simple game.
Its quite a simple game. Perhaps, I would chose something else. We played it once with kids and they found it very simple (my kids are 6 and 9)

Good fun and trepidation.
Awesome little game, loved by all ages but especially the elementary and under set. I use it during ESL teaching. Sturdy construction. Some suspense if played like a story.
