A gret game with even better art direction
A gret game with even better art direction, and this book is the very proof of that. It also helps that it has very interesting and unique lore, so if you're a fan of both those things this book is for you. It's nice to have a place with some of the game's best written stories that you can keep visiting long after you've finished it.It's small in size but very beautifully made, a very nice hardcover book with a black cover with silver printing on it and lovely glossy paper on the inside which boasts very good printing. It brings with it some of the character portraits and full-body paintings you see in the game, but also a lot of more conceptual, yet finished looking pieces.Meaning they're not skecthes by any means but very polished character designs and poster art, propaganda and symbols you see in the game.A lot of them I had personnaly never seen, and I'm one of those fans that even draws the characters and got really inspired by the painterly style of the main game to start making fan art of it.It also has vehicle, environment and prop paintings like weapons so there's great variety. Adding to those a couple of promotional pieces, great map illustrations and an old paper look on all of the pages and you get a really juicy collectible for any fan of the franchise.Highly recommended.

Yeah yeah, so I'm a shameless Dishonored fanboy. I was inclined to give this 4 stars because it could have done with more of the beautiful concept art (do you *really* need a reproduction of the 'plague' symbols to occupy a page?) and they could have put different pieces of text onto the same page to free up more room for pictures. But it's gorgeously presented. Contents encompass text and art from 'The Knife of Dunwall' and 'The Brigmore Witches', so you really do get a broad sweep here. Bearing in mind how Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantanio map out wider context for everything in the game, it would have been good to have some writings from them about the world of the Empire of the Isles, Pandyssia etc. But as it stands, if you love the world of Corvo et al, this is a good purchase.

It is more a book of background or one of concept though not nearly as in depth as the beautiful World of the Witcher book
As has been mentioned else where in the reviews on this page this is not an art-book as you would have expected it to be. It is more a book of background or one of concept though not nearly as in depth as the beautiful World of the Witcher book, which is a slight disappointment as the world of Dunwall is completely intriguing and so full of depth and conspiracy it just begs to be detailed and uncovered to a much greater extent, but it is a welcoming, if limited, insight into the world of Dunwall and the Dishonoured world.Physically smaller than most computer related art-books in the fact this is only A5 in size, so if you keep all your art-books together in your bookcase this is gonna be a bit out of place :S, this is not a "Shrunk" edition though, like the Deco Devolution you receive with the collectors edition of BioShock 2 or the lore book you get the withe special edition of the Witcher 3 guide book, this was originally produced at A5 so no need for magnifying glasses to be able to read of study the pictures within ...This is not to say that this should be avoided as this book is a great introduction to Dunwall and the intrigue going on in its rat infested streets and its shadowy underbelly. Here's really hoping that a full blown, lavish lore/art-book gets released by Dark Horse to coincide with Dishonoured 2 [Hint, Hint Dark Horse ;)]

Very well made
Very, very high quality. Seeing the art work in print and not just in game is the coolest part of the book. You're probably already a big fan if you're looking to buy the book so (atleast in my case) you won't see or learn anything new except maybe from the timeline, so it isn't the kind of book you will read and then put down, but read and flick through every now and again. You won't regret buying it if you love the game not just for the gameplay but for the lore and the depth of the world too.

Great info on the game
I really enjoyed this book, it is filled to the brim with lore and great art. It mainly consists of the information that can be picked up in the game and is formatted as a book written by an archivist in Dunwall which provides a very unique and interesting perspective that made very good reading. Although much of the information is that which can be found in game it is still nice to have it in an easily accessible book that doesn't require you to go trawling through the game.

Beautiful. The full collection of all those books
Beautiful. The full collection of all those books, letters and fragments that you never collected whilst playing the game. Or you did collect them but never actually took the time to read.Coupled with the artwork this makes a book to enjoy - It's like reading an epistolary novel. Except that there is no on-going plot - each entry is piece of nano-fiction Evocative, imaginative and to be savoured.

Unless they make a remake, not likely to play the first one, but I enjoy books that capture the essence and feeling of a well made game, the only comparisons i can make to this is the Blackbeard book for Assassins Creed Black Flag (loved) and the book compiled like files for AC unity (absolutely adored Black Flag, never ended up pursuing Unity after the preface, graphics looked good though)

The Archives
This is a great little book, full of interesting information and lore, as well as some very nice quality images, depicting the world of Dishonored. Some of the content is already known to Dishonored fans, and some is new, and it all neatly provides a wealth of printed paraphernalia, which most Dishonored fans will enjoy!

It was nice before my eldest daughter decided to tear it apart after all these years :/
So yeah, bought this book back in 2017 when it was like 28$.... now come to find the thing is upwards of 130-500$.... I still have the book but most of the pages are detached, and I've also had to put locks on most cupboards.... but thats what happens when you have kids let alone a child with autism.Somewhat planning to obtain another copy and just keeping it put up whenever I'm not skimming through it.

Buen gusto.
