Good book for kids. The man persevered in his life and it is evident in his book. He is a good role model. I admire him very much and he is quite likeable.

I love this book you should definitely read it! This book tells the story of a young poor boy who works hard and has faith in God. He may go through many struggles in his life but it all lead to something better. In this book you will learn how he came from a “class dummy” to a very smart and intelligent pediatric by having faith in God and working hard! You definitely should buy!! Great book!

I can't say enough about this book! I ordered this for my 10-year-old son for a family book marathon. He was skeptical about it at first, but got through the 24 chapters in 2 days, seemed to recall every word when given a pop-quiz, and grasped the overarching message of THINK BIG and that Ben Carson talks about in this book. We also got another one written by Ben Carson called "You Have a Brain", which just arrived and my middle-schooler is actually very excited to read it. Ben Carson's story is a gift that any child can appreciate. Especially those who come from rough beginnings.

My 8 year old granddaughter and I were engrossed in this book and the skill of Ben Carson. A must read for every child either to read independently or with an adult where they can discuss together. At times we would pause and talk and her father would research and show us some real footage of conjoined twins that were separated and where they are now. This book opened up another area of opportunities for her to be curious about. We particularly enjoyed reading about Ben's need for glasses which changed his experiences in the classroom as well as understanding his own learning style. A brilliant book, now we'll happily watch the movie. I also bought extra copies for some of the neighbourhood children to inspire them.

One of the best book everyone should read. Well written

They just made a movie about him. This is a very inspiring book and a good read.
