A Wok and Steamer for Life
Big is good in this case. The wok is huge and can cook enough for a whole family easily. The steamer part is also very spacious and getting a whole fish, like a black bream, in is easy. Particularly like the way the lid collects the condensing water and this then flows back onto the steamer base along grooves and back into the wok. This saves having to top up the hot water too often. Top quality stainless steel, that feels like it will last forever. Fairly pricey, but will likely be our only wok/steamer ever needed now. Make sure you allow space in the cupboard, as it is big!

Don't complain if you have no idea how to use a stainless steel wok. This is not a non stick wok.
This is not a non stick wok. If you think it is as easy to use as normal non stick wok, you will 100percent burn your wok and spoilt your mood. This is such a good wok and are for experienced cooker only. Instruction on using this wok. You need to seasoned it first!!!! First heat up the wok till when you drop a water you can see the water boil and roll around. Second you need should put in some oil in the wok, use a kitchen towel soak it in the oil in the wok, use a stainless steel turner to hold it and wipe around the inner wok. Wipe for 3 minute while the wok is hot. When the wok is hot, the particle between stainless steel is open, thus when you seasoned it, you will stuck the oil between the stainless steel pore thus making it non stick. Then with the high temperature this wok it can be easily achieve, you vege will be so tender, your food will cook so fast and so delicious. You cannot leave the food very long like normal non stick wok although u seasoned it because it will still stick. One of the tips for it to not stick although u seasoned it is first make the wok very hot, then quickly put in your food, keep turning for a while and take it out. This wok is fast and efficient

Big and beautiful
Usual WMF quality. Does transmit a lot of heat from an induction hob, so yes, it might burn stuff if you are not careful. Teflon and other non stick coatings get too hot in a wok and will brown, peel or release nastiness, pay some attention, stir constantly, and it won't stick or burn. We have not used any of the steamer or rack but I can see that it will be useful, is again well made and makes it actually very good value for money. Cheaper than many John Lewis, tefal or le cruset woks and it is WMF - the Mercedes of pots and pans.

Excellent make, great size
This is a bit expensive, but probably worth the price as it is likely to last forever. Used already a few times to stir fry and steam with great results and couldn't find a fault with it.The stainless steel body looks very solid and does give me the impression that it is built to last. We already have the pressure cooker from WMF and it's the same thing: you spend a bit more but you get a lot more, simple as that.

Good steamer however not very useful as a Wok
I found it this Wok/Steamer is better used as a steamer. When used as a wok the food sticks and not very easy to do stir fries.

Great Wok!
I recently purchased this wok set and must say that I am extremely happy with it. Firstly, the design is beautiful. Each part fits together perfectly and it all feels very high quality. The lid is particularly heavy. And most importantly it functions perfectly. One reviewer mentioned that the sides do not get hot - this is correct and is the way it is supposed to work. But watch out - this thing is enormous! I had to rearrange my cupboard to let it fit in. I have previously bought WMF products and they are consistently well designed and of high quality. They are expensive, but worth every penny as they last for years. It is my plan to slowly replace every single item of kitchenware I own with its WMF equivalent!

Great item
Brought this for my wife as she love cooking and wanted a wok with a lid plus added was it came with a steamer which was great has we use it for cooking fish & crabs also great for deserts Bigger then most wok we seen and so easy to clean after cooking Best buy we made for the price we payed but worth every money we sent on it

La qualité de l'inox est correcte, la cuisson se fait essentiellement sur le fond, on ne peut pas comparer à un vrai wok à fond rond utilisé avec une grosse source de gaz, donc achat en connaissance de cause. Le prix est avantageux, le panier vapeur offre une très grande capacité ce qui est très pratique. La saleté se loge un peu sous la poignée du couvercle, entre le verre et l'inox, dommage mais c'est un bon achat, un wok de grande taille, multifonction pour un pix attractif de 127€ en promo.

Per chi ha spazio per riporla (fa 36 cm di diametro e nei pensili alti della mia cucina ad esempio non ci entra) ed è un po' smaliziato in cucina è una pentola sicuramente da comprare per l'estrema polivalenza. Premetto che non è una vera wok orientale. Le wok originali sono in ferro, diventano antiaderenti a causa della patina di olio bruciato, non si possono lavare con sapone,sono delicate per quel che riguada la ruggine, ed hanno il fondo curvo che le rende inadatte ai fornelli occidentali (bisogna usare un anello adattatore). Siccome non sono un purista orientale e le pentole le voglio lavare con sapone senza tanti patemi, ho comprato questa e ne sono soddisfattissimo. PREGI - la trasmissione del calore dalla fiamma al fondo è brutalmente veloce. Questo fa si che i tempi di cottura siano rapidissimi. E' sufficiente pochissimo olio ma è importante girare in continuazione gli alimenti altrimenti si corre il rischio di bruciare tutto. - se si tiene ben mescolato il cibo non si attacca; - la vaporiera è enorme, finalmente nessun problema di spazio anche a cucinare a vapore pesci interi; - la pentola è molto leggera, si resta stupiti prendendola in mano; - è adatta anche ai forni a induzione (il fondo è un multistrato di acciaio magnetico ed alluminio) - è molto bella esteticamente e ci fa sentire un po' masterchef. DIFETTI Non ci sono vedi difetti, è una pentola favolosa. Se proprio devo: - sul mio lavello devo fare un po' di acrobazie per lavarla a causa delle dimensioni; - bisogna fare attenzione mescolando continuamente il cibo perchè scalda veramente tanto ed è un attimo bruciare quello che si stava cucinando; - se la si lascia sul fuoco senza cibo o con cibo che ormai ha consumato tutta la propria acqua, l'alluminio del fondo della pentola si scioglie e buttate via la pentola. Sembra una cosa ovvia, ma vi assicuro che c'è gente che la wok la usa anche come affumicatoio con chips di legno, ecco con questa potete scordarvelo.

I'm so pleased by this wok and steamer combo! I purchased it for the steamer and it's large and stable with a perfectly fitting lid, so no drips at all. It's light enough to use everyday, and sturdy enough to be able to hold a plate inside without fear of warping. The wok itself is absolutely perfect for an induction stovetop. The base is thick and stable, but the inner portion is curved like a traditional wok. Light, yet sturdy and easy to clean. I wish I found this sooner!

Het is een mooie pan met stoom mogelijkheid. Mooi en stevig. Zou nog beter zijn als er een (verstelbare) ventilation opening in de deksel aanwezig is... Waard voor het geld!
