they do the job nicely.
They do the job well and are good value for money. I like to use these longer rods so that I can pull the camera into my chest to stabilize my shots. The weight adds up when you're rigging up with these so I will be tempted to try the carbon fibre rods in the future but these are great for now.

solid 15mm rods
what more can I say? Smallrig speak for themselves. Quality products at a low price point. Originally got these to attach my small rig chest support to my camera. since have used them with matte boxes, follow focus systems and to attach arms for lighting etc. Class.

Aluminium rod... black.
These are strong and sturdy, threaded on the end so you can put caps or other items on the ends. The anodising is good, as it doesn't immediately scrape off when you look at it funny like some brands that claim a hard anodising. The texture is slightly rough, but still feels smooth to the touch which gives it a little bit of extra grip on rigging.

Nice finish...
Sometimes with these rods after the finish is applied they become a little bit thick and difficult to slide into the other parts. Not the case with this item. Very nicely built, and on the ends inside the tube they are even threaded so you could theoretically put some male ends on it and attach another set of rods. Quite happy with them.
