Polar Lights Star Trek USS Enterprise Refit, 1:350 Scale (POL949), 14 years to 18 years,Black

As soon as I opened the box I was blown away. I knew that there was a size difference between this and the AMT kit I was used to, but WOW !! This thing is HUGE !! The parts for the saucer section were the first things I saw and they filled the box from side to side . This is about 16 inches in diameter. The rest of the ship is sized to scale. It will be almost 3 feet long when finished. I have been working on it for a week and a half and am about half way finished. It will be impressive when it is finished.This is an addition to the above... It has been an interesting build. I took the time to add some lights and the results were well worth the effort. Along with the paint work and decals this model has gotten rave reviews from friends and family. I noticed a review on the message board from someone who seems to be having problems with his kit. I put my kit together using HobbyKing Gap Filling Insta-Cure+ Cyanoacrylate Cement. I used a single 1/2 oz. bottle for the whole model and there have been no problems with the fit or durability of the finished joints. See the Photo for the results. This was taken just prior to the last finishing touches were applied. I am totally happy with this kit. It was well worth the wait and effort.

I read the box size and didnt think too much about how big this kit is, and I can tell you, if you read other reviews they are 100% on. This kit is huge, and its well worth it. The parts are well crafted, and dry fit well. The decal sheet is easy to read and use. Just a great kit. Can't wait to get the aztec decals for it from another site, JaxHax on etsy, and drop in the light kit, from EBAY.

From shipment to opening the kit box everything was perfect and kit was as expected. Do not hesitate to purchase this item if you are thinking about.

This is a very nice, accurate model, but I wanted the TOS version, and was sent the wrong model, so I had to return it. No problems with the model, or the refund, everyone was GREAT!!!

I am very happy with the model, however I have to find the lights that go with the model before I build it.

Parts do not fit very well together , lots of gaps and is not made for lighting.The model is difficult to assemble , the shuttle bay was the best part for overall fit and the saucer sectionwas not to bad. The secondary hull is a night mare to fit together with the pylons and the nacelles alignment fit is terrible. Once you get past these difficult things the model looks good.

I'm using it for one of my 1/350 display models but I'm making alterations to it.

Great model to build as plain as the instructions say, or a nice challenge to build with lights, photoetch, Aztec paint, ect.This can be intimidating when you open the box, but it is well worth the time. In the end you will have an absolutely beautiful ship that's large enough to see the details.I would also recommend the 1/350 scale original television series Star Trek Enterprise if you like this one.
