A great read for fans of Happily Ever After
Most of the time, I try to make assumptions about how the story is going to be based on its title. I couldn't deduce much from the title of this book but I was anticipating something fresh and promising to read. I have to say that I am so satisfied with how this title gets justified in the story. It's the story of Awadh who is dead after struggling with a brain tumor for months. He gets a chance to go to his World for a week and seek salvation after Death. It's his only chance to seek acceptance and forgiveness from people he had done wrong to. As the story proceeds, we get to see his past life and the sins he did. Right from his school days, till he becomes an adult, everything that takes place in his life is mentioned in his diary which Tripti gets to read. Tripti, her schoolmate who loved him selflessly. How can you love someone when that person is the reason for your misery? Can you give love more than you get? Can you forgive someone even when they didn't ask for an apology? Many such questions will flow in your mind when you will read about Tripti. She is nearly perfect and the best person you can ask for.Sometimes it is too late to realize your shortcomings. Awadh is not an exception. He realized this way too late that he owed an apology to Tripti for all the wrong things he did to her knowingly and unknowingly. I didn't sympathize with his character because he was too selfish and only cared about himself and his pleasure. He didn't see the obvious and always did what a jerk would do. But despite everything, there was redemption. I loved how the book ended and with it how Awadh said what he should have said early in his life to Tripti. Life doesn't give you many chances, my friend. Seize the day and keep them close who care for you.The writing style felt so beautiful and heartwarming at some places that I had to stop myself and read those lines again and again. I always fall for cute and romantic confessions. If you are like me, you will love this book more. There's magical realism that's blended into the book. There's mention of life after death and things related to the universe. It might scare some people while I am mentioning this but it is not difficult to go through the book even with the presence of such themes. It makes it even more special and better I would say. If you want to read something about happily ever after then this is the book for you. I highly recommend this.

A magical story of hope in life: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The way the author has portrayed life after death will leave you counting the times you are going to have goosebumps while reading this book. It will take you on a roller coaster of different emotions; happy sad, angry, guilty, love and what not. This book makes you think about all the good and bad deeds you have done in your life, it makes you more aware about who are your close ones, your true friends, family, love, your guiding light amidst this world full of people. It will make you realise how small life is and you are not valuing the people you should. We all are so lost in this race of becoming something that we are forgetting the actual purpose of life. This book will question the goods and bads in you. My favorite part of this book is the 'Day One' when the soul keeper gives awadh a second chance and he comes back. The way the author has explained the emotions of Awadh's family after his death will leave you in tears and you will feel like living every bit of the moment of your life with your close ones. My favorite character is Madhav, he is best friend of Awadh..it's wonderful how he is there for him at every step of his life to show him rights and wrongs. It shows how important it is to have that one friend who will tell you what is right and wrong without caring whether you like it or not, the true friendship..his character is like Krishna (madhav) showing path to Arjun(awadh) in Mahabharata(Real world). This book is like looking at your own life in a mirror, the only difference is that we still have time to make things right in this very moment as we might not get the second chance as awadh did to find his happily ever after. Will he be able to tell Tripti, how much he loved her, and will there be a happily ever after of their love story?Read this amazing story of love and hope to find out.

Great read for a cosy evening
Picked up this book in order to support local authors. The stage is set right from the get-go, as the protagonist is taken into an ethereal realm from the afterlife. They go on to live through the aftermath of their death, as the story evolves into a reflection of the protagonist's inner turmoil over loose ends left in their life. This book makes us stop and think about the regrets we choose to live with, and whether they're worth remaining as regrets. Definitely one that got me thinking!
