Gourmet ESE Espresso Pods - Double Shot (Regular), 100 Pods/Box

These pods are great for a quick, mess-free double shot. However, the crema is tiny, and the flavor very mediocre. While these work fine with an iced drink or something that covers the flavor with a syrup, I found that i much preferred brewing 2 single shots from one of the import brands or a double from one I grind myself.

These pods fit in my DeLonghi EC270 espresso maker, which came with two filters - one filter is sized to accept a regular ESE pod, and the other filter is deeper, for a double-shot of espresso, using ground beans. These double-shot pods fit nicely into the larger filter basket, although the product description says that it's not sized for consumer espresso makers. I figured it was worth the risk that they wouldn't fit, and I am pleasantly surprised.
