Good Hose had a while now very good quality

I purchased the 30m version. I used the Hozelock fixtures and reel from my old hose, which fit perfectly, as was expected. Yes the hose can kink, but not nearly as much as my previous one. I don't think you can buy a hose that doesn't kink to some degree or other, it's in the nature of the beast! Overall I was delighted with my purchase and it certainly fulfilled my expectations.

Decided to upgrade to this from ordinary hose that was blowing connectors as it softened in the sunshine. Comparing the two, the cross-section of the Gardena hose is much thicker and more rugged than the cheaper one - it feels quality. The outside case of the hose is slightly serrated cross-wise - the Gardena connectors have matching teeth on the claws that grip the hose, so there's a much better mechanical joining function. A premium product at a premium price - see if there's a better value Offer package of hose, connectors etc, as they're expensive to buy separately. Just be careful comparing, as there are different grades of Gardena Hose I think. Time will tell - pleased so far though.

Can’t believe I did so much researching for garden hoses. I decided to go for these brand and haven’t looked back. I have this along with the Clever Roll Easy metal trolley and watering the green is so easy now. I also have the sprinkler and various other spray guns. All are easy and comfortable to use. I suspect I won’t need to purchase again before I pop my clogs.

A Well made, reasonably sturdy German made hose. It does have a mind of it's own until it is wound around a hose reel. But after a couple of times of extending and retracting the hose, it is tamed, and will settle down. A very distinctive colour scheme too. I am very delighted with my purchase.

The coloured lines on the hose show you that the hose is not twisting when being rewound. The feel of the hose is really good, long guarantee.

Excellent quality, worth paying a bit more for this quality

Excellent product. Now I have found a supply of Gardena products again I am happy. Can't buy better I had 4 of the expandable types; all useless and blew up. This should last for years just like my first one did, Still have some of that. the connectors are still good and the length of hosepipe for connecting to the trolley is still in good nick. Must be over 35 years old now.

Nachdem ich den Schlauch eine gute Woche nach der Bestellung endlich erhalten hatte, konnte ich ihn bisher leider nur einmal ausprobieren, weil es zwei Tage danach endlich angefangen hat zu regnen. Bereits beim Aufwickeln auf die Schlauchtrommel (ebenfalls von Gardena) machte der Schlauch einen sehr guten Eindruck. Er ist deutlich steifer als mein Discounter-Schlauch, das heißt, er verdreht sich nicht so leicht und knickt nicht so leicht. Die Drehsteifigkeit machte beim Aufrollen etwas Schwierigkeiten. Hier empfiehlt sich, den Schlau komplett abzurollen, bevor man ihn auf die Trommel wickelt. Bei der Verwendung zeigt sich aber, dass die etwas höhere Steifigkeit erhebliche Vorteile hat. So verwickelt er sich nicht so leicht und wenn er eine Schleife wirft, knickt er nicht, es fließt also weiter Wasser durch Schlauch. Der Schlauch ist auch sehr stabil und wie erwartet auch im leeren Zustand rund. Ersetzt hat der Schlauch bei mir einen richtigen Billigschlauch, der zwar ebenfalls als hochflexibel und nahezu knickfest angepriesen wurde, aber nur unter Druck rund ist. Ohne Wasser wurde er komplett flach und nach einem halben Jahr der Benutzung ging mir das extrem auf die Nerven. Gleichzeitig war er so dünn, dass er ständig aus den Kupplungen rutschte. Mit dem Gardena Highflex Schlauch passiert das garantiert nicht mehr. 13mm sind hier wirklich 13mm. Er hält sowohl in einer Kupplung von Gardena als auch einer ähnlich teuren Kupplung eines anderen Anbieters bombenfest. Versuchsweise habe ich den Gardena-Schlauch auch einige Zeit unter ca. 5 Bar Druck belassen. Auch die Anschlüsse blieben dicht. Ich bin nach der kurzen Testzeit rundum zufrieden. Der Schlauch ist zwar nicht billig, aber sein Geld wert. Inzwischen habe ich den Schlauch die zweite Saison in Benutzung und bin noch immer vollkommen zufrieden damit. Kleinere Schwierigkeiten mit dem Aufrollen gab es auch nur an den ersten Tagen. Seit ich den Dreh raus habe, gibt es damit keine Probleme mehr, wobei vielleicht zu erwähnen ist, dass ich auch einen hochwertigen Schlauchwagen ebenfalls von Gardena verwende. Gerade weil der Schlauch etwas steifer ist, kann man ihn mit ein wenig Übung sehr sauber aufrollen.
