When I first saw the adverts for this stuff, I operated under the distinct impression that it was engineered entirely for men called Chad or Brad. You see them at the gym, aggressively sipping from bright pink bottles under the firm delusion that this radioactive-looking liquid will magically help them lift heavier weights and achieve peak Chad-ness. ​I, however, do not buy it for that. I buy it because I am diabetic. Occasionally, while sleeping perfectly soundly, my body decides to throw a catastrophic spanner in the works and I wake up in the middle of the night having a hypoglycemic moment. When this happens, I need an immediate hit of glucose. The obvious solution would be standard Lucozade, but that is absolutely loaded with caffeine. Because I am incredibly sensitive to the stuff, drinking regular Lucozade at 3 AM would leave me vibrating uncontrollably and staring at the bedroom ceiling wondering if tomatoes are a fruit, then is ketchup technically a smoothie?.. Lucozade Sport, however, is entirely caffeine-free. I can safely chug some of this in a midnight emergency, go straight back to sleep, and wake up properly rested. ​I have tried the cheaper supermarket alternatives, but they are utterly depressing. They taste like stagnant, damp raspberry water. At no point while drinking them do you feel yourself getting healthier, or indeed, "hydratier". This, by contrast, actually tastes like a proper, deeply satisfying drink. ​But there is one catastrophic, infuriating flaw: the packaging. I don’t know what kind of aggressive cost-cutting exercise they ran at the factory, but the plastic bottle is manufactured to be precisely one molecule thick. Combine this structural flimsiness with a rubbery sports cap that essentially functions like a giant baby bottle, and you create a physical black hole. The moment you give it even the faintest squeeze, the entire bottle violently crumples up like an empty crisp packet. It creates a vacuum so powerful that half the drink gets hopelessly trapped inside the crushed plastic. You can squeeze and wrestle with it all you want, but even a fully-pumped Chad would struggle to extract the last 100ml out of this thing, maybe that's part of the gym experience. ​Despite the comprehensively useless bottle, it does exactly what it needs to do. It is a fantastic, reliable lifesaver for Chads and diabetics alike.

It tasted a bit diffrent then acual shops but it was nice it has no fizz nd wasnt it had no sort of flatness and i was so hydrated after and i had lots of energy
