This looks to be a very substantial chain, with a very sturdy lock. The chains are very chunky and well protected with a waterproof material cover. With 5 keys included there is plenty of backup. Very easy to use, and I would say you are getting what you pay for, there are cheaper alternatives, but this seems good value for money. It is not too big and as you can see in the photos can store very compactly. Because of it's heavy duty nature, this is quite heavy but that is to be expected I guess.

I needed to find a way of securely locking a Lazyspa from thieves and looked everywhere online for a method. After wracking my brain for a long tine I couldn't think of any possible way. I initially wanted to wrap around the body and hoped that this would be enough but couldn't find a chain durable enough and definitely not flexible to allow this. I ended up purchasing a flexible wire lock and after a few nights worrying it wouldn't be enough I looked into a better method. Now these chains are 120cm long and the circumference of the heater is 118cm. So I bought two hoping to wrap with one and then chain to a base plate with the other. I knew they'd be thick from previous reviewers but man was I shocked how thick. I hadn't accounted for this so after receiving them I realised they wouldn't fit around the heater pump. I was gutted and attempted to chain the two together and then realised any thief could just lift the pump and slide these out from under it. It was then I realised something, why not wrap them around the pump/filter and air pipes? It had worked brilliantly, these now wrap around those connection and there's no way anyone can remove the Spa (fingers crossed). I've attempted several times and these work brilliantly for that purpose. You just cannot reach the screw connections for the pipes. So even if you somehow managed to empty it, there's no way you could undo it from the lining. So there would never be anyway to take it apart/fill it etc. When summer (if we ever have one up North) ends I can use them for locking away furniture in the garden. The chains are well made. The locks seem well designed, I like how the bolts lock down with the chassis of the lock covering the bar. They have nice sleeves so as to protect the item you're locking it to. They're a nice weight and I doubt anyone could cut through these without an angle grinder and half hour of making a hell of a lot of noise. If like me you're looking for a solution to hottub security then these are a must. I just wish the length came in more sizes at 10mm rings. I didn't account for wrapping. Obviously the lasps prevent flexibility when wrapping. That's my bad not the product. Although saying that, adding two together had worked out better than using one.

A great Lock

Heavy and looks to be good quality for what I paid for it. Came in a smaller box than I thought actually, was a bit surprised. I bought it for my B98 E bike as i'll be taking it into the City Centre next year a few times and where I lock it, bike thefts are very common. Am using this in conjunction with an alarmed disc brake lock so should deter any would be bike thief.

Catena ottima, le maglie sono molto spesse impossibili da tagliare con una cesoia anche per la loro forma squadrata (più difficili da tagliare di quelle rotonde). La catena è molto lunga quindi risulta facile attaccare una ruota, il telaio ad un palo/rastrelliera. Il lucchetto è resistente quanto, se non più della catena, con una tipologia di chiave simile a quella europea quindi non scassinabile con i semplici grimaldelli. Se il lucchetto viene lasciato fuori alle intemperie può diventare più complesso da chiudere, ma come ogni lucchetto basta un po’ di WD40 e si lubrifica il tutto. La chiave puó essere estratta solo se il lucchetto è chiuso quindi è difficile dimenticarsi le chiavi attaccate. Come rapporto sicurezza/prezzo è la migliore che ho trovato ed è meglio di molte marche più blasonate che costano più del 90% delle bici. Unico difetto è che tutta questa sicurezza pesa… e molto! Quindi consiglio solo per bici di un certo prezzo (o se si abita in un città dove i furti sono all’ordine del giorno) per evitare di portarsi dietro troppo peso. In sintesi per aprirla servono vari minuti di scassinamento con il flex portatile (cosa rara) quindi potete dormire sonni tranquilli, a meno che non ve la dimentichiate slegata dentro il cancello di casa vostra per 15 minuti e scavalchino per rubarvela: alla fine ho rimpianto sia la bici che un’ottima catena…

I've had this product for 2 years now and haven't had any issues with the lock or chain. I put a little white lithium grease in the key hole when I bought it to lubricate the locking mechanism. You don't have to do this but I think it helps keep the lock in good working order if you use the lock outside in which it will get wet. The black cover over the chain is holding up well too and I have used this outside for 2 years.
