KONG Scrunch Knots Squirrel Dog Toy, Small/Medium

We have bought a few of these toys over the years for our dog, he is OBSESSED with soft toys but he loves to puncture them and remove all the stuffing. At least with the kong rope teddys, to last a bit longer, yes it may not last long as a single piece, but the reviews complaining that their dogs pulled the skin off are a bit unreasonable, the skin material cannot be made chew proof. We police our dog with it a bit if he has been playing with it a while and we catch him chewing it we will take it away or tell him to be gentle just so it last him longer but once he inevitably removes the skin and the squeaker he has the rope for tug of war and he carries the skin around with him for months and months, keeps it in his bed etc. I say its worth it if your dog enjoys a soft toy

I love the Kong knots range, this is the 3rd toy I have bought. Great for dogs that like to play tug as they have some 'give'. My dog will also just chew the toys as he likes the fur. They are a lot longer lasting than any other dog toy I have tried.

Good toy, my dog likes it. No stuffimg amd seems.indestructable. Though be prepared, it looks disappointing at first sight, it is small and wizened. I love that the squeak seems to be very elusive, so not constant squeaking.

Great toy very strong, quite heavy would definitely by more suited to a larger breed than my Shih tzu’s

After my cavapoo destroyed his other plush toys I bought from Pets at Home I decided to invest in a Kong plush toy as I heard these were more durable. All seemed well on day 1 and day 2. He loved this toy and really goes mental over toys that squeak, and having the rope skeleton I figured this would reinforce the toy even more so it would last longer than the previous toys which only lasted less than a day. On day 2 I noticed a puncture in the chin. I thought no biggie, it's just a puncture and he hasn't destroyed the toy yet, this was definitely worth the money. On day 3 however I came downstairs to a rope skeleton that was chewed and frayed at the ends and the plush exterior which had its head ripped open and inverted. Guess it wasn't worth the money after all. Plush dog toys are not for dogs. They're fine for puppies but they cannot survive canines that are designed to rip apart flesh. I'll be looking instead for tougher rubber toys as they seem to last. Edit: Day whatever it's been since I last posted. The toy has suffered several attempts at restitching the rope toy inside it, however he just keeps pulling it apart within minutes of me stitching it up. In the end I gave up on the rope part and just stitched up the plush exterior. Amazingly the squeaker inside it is still intact and after a couple of weeks the plush exterior has remained intact and the rope interior is starting to show signs of abuse as he attempts to pull it apart. I guess it's a 2-in-1 toy for him, so I may continue to replace these for him when they become too damaged and take out the rope before giving it to him.

Not sure it looks exactly like a squirrel as the tail is small and not fluffy but as always a great kong toy. Fur- squeaks- internal rope - which extends when they pull and play. Really clever little toy. Perhaps would have preferred a larger size but still v happy with this one. Would recommend for a puppy/ small dog
