Don't need to think twice.
Functions just like it supposed to, it is really cool, we always have a fear what is behind that wall before drilling, this just removes the suspense, i had a water line going across behind one of my wall and had no idea, but this showed it. Dont guess anymore, good for DIY people and Professionals.

Love this device!
I had bought the first generation years ago and loved it. Well i accidentally dropped it from 20 ft on to concrete. :( I hadn't really needed it again for a few months, so put off buying the lastest version. Then of course my neighbor needed help with putting a header up for a new cabinet and we had to do it the old fashion way. Immediately that day I ordered the latest version. I love that it is wireless. The previous version had a cable you had to use between your phone and the device. I've used it multiple times now. It saves so much time locating the studs as well as making sure you are not drilling/screwing a screw into a pipe.

Very Good but not Perfect, But Still Recommended!!!
I had a short wall that contained a ton of metal studs, electrical wiring and plumbing. I had to hang a bracket for a pedestal sink and a regular stud finder just didn't seem to do the trick because there was so much in the wall. I bought the Walabot to find exactly what was behind the drywall. I also need to mention that the wall was covered with PVC wainscoting which made it even more challenging. I will admit that when I used the Walabot on the side of the wall with wainscoting, its accuracy was suspect. I could tell where the studs were, but the readings weren't consistent and the location of the electrical and plumbing was really spotty. So I went around to the back of the short wall where there was only drywall and the Walabot performed very well. I was able to find the studs and not touch the electrical or the plumbing. Would I recommend the Walabot...? Emphatically, Yes. On a pure drywall surface, I have found it works extremely well. Any additional interference tends to cause its scanning to be less than perfect, but that's fine. I get that it needs to be fine tuned to work at certain tolerances to accurately show what's behind the wall. Plus my situation was probably in that 10% where the Walabot wouldn't work perfectly. But I definitely recommend it!

Aweful, just aweful.
I wanted this to work out, I really did. The ideal is fantastic, being able to see what's actually behind the wall with some intelligence is what I wanted. But after I clicked the button I read a few other reviews, and the disappointment quickly set in.Things you need to know.1) This is extremely overpriced for the value that it delivers.2) It's almost impossible to use.Why they used WIFI for the connection is beyond me. Maybe, if you're in a house that has no other wifi it might hold a connection. I spent 30 minutes, THIRTY MINUTES, trying to keep it connected to get through the calibration. Even when I did that, the results were underwhelming. This should have been either a) Bluetooth, or b) a tethered connection for reliability saving on development costs too.It should also be magnetic so your phone sticks to it or it to your phone for one handed operation. As it is now, you need both hands, or maybe you can try to hold the things together while you mark the wall but that's just not easy to do.3) It's not reliable. It saw stuff that didn't exist. I'm fortunate to have an unfinished wall that I can access on the other side. I used that for testing, and just got even madder. No way I'm putting up with the usability issues for something that isn't even accurate.I ordered the other higher-end stud finder that's about $50 and couldn't be happier. It's being returned TODAY.

Buy it for a easy time
Price is high yes but I would buy it cuz if you want to make sure you do not hit the pipe or water pipe I would buy it not only that but you can use it on your phone and take screenshots on where everything is if you cant remember where it is function is easy to use just connect to Bluetooth and then done

Inconvenient functionality
I've been wanting to buy a Walabot for years. The first thing that jumped out at me is that it said it only scans through Gypsum board. Excuse me, but 1/2 of the homes out there are plaster lathe. So I questioned the value.I am always worried about scratching or marking up a wall during calibration as that could result in paint matching to repair, which can equate to insane amounts of time to repair as perfect as some customers expect in some cases. Also, it does not distinguish between a pipe vs electrical, At this point I am not sure if it even detects PEX or PVC, which are very important to identify as well.Pros: it finds studs, wires, and pipe well if the are gypsum. I like that it distinguished between metal and wood studs.Cons: Having to reconnect to the device and then calibrate for every new wall is annoying. The device needs a screen and app built in IMO. For the cost it should have those built in. Calibration could scuff wall paint leading to repair. Product doesn't say it scans through plaster lathe. My tests show it does, but not with the consistency of gypsum drywall. Lastly, I live in cold climates. Not being able to leave it in my vehicle leads to possibly forgetting it when I need it.

Accuracy
After purchasing the older style stud finders year after year and relentlessly getting FALSE readings i really had nothing to loose, Wallabot has put me on center every time. I've had this unit for several years and it's still producing on center. Are they expensive, yes a bit, but are they worth the leap, ABSOLUTELY. continue with the old ones and keep missing your marks or simply move over to the wallabot .
