Great Replacement Part for My Dryer
This pulley was a direct fit replacement on my dryer. Removal of the broken pulley required a pair of pliers or a visegrip due to the wrenching surface being broken off, but installation was easy. Complete replacement took about 10 minutes and the dryer has been fully functional since.

Perfect fit. Fixed itself a poorly done repair.
When my 2014 Kenmore dryer's drum stopped spinning I assumed that its belt broke as it likely might happen with a 12 year old abused by vacation rent drier. When I took the drier apart (only difficult part was disconnecting the door's on/off switch) I found the pulley broken into pieces and the thread on the motor's shaft where the pulley is screwed on, scraped along the shaft 1 or 2 mm deep. I got lucky with removing what was left of the pulley from the shaft using a wrench to hold the shaft still and plumber's pliers. When I installed the new pulley using two adjustable for size wrenches I only managed to screw on the pulley half-way. The result was that the belt would sit 2cm off from where it used to be on the drum. Horrid part was that the drier started making noise when I assembled it back (only difficult part was placing the front panel back on and attempting to slide it down so that it locks in place on both sides (a helper would be handy). The noise was disturbingly bad. The good thing is that the motor, which I assume has the shaft which spins the drum on one side and the ventilation fan on the other side (covered by metal panel so I can't see it), that motor rotates the shaft in the direction you want to screw the pulley back on. The result of putting a heavy laundry load and turning the dryer on for an hour was the motor torque screwing the pulley on its own all the way to the end of the thread. Once that happened the noise went away and I had $3.50 of coins I collected from the bottom, inside of the dryer as renters don't care about anything, change in pockets included. All in all I find this type of dryer design very simple (a good thing) yet very flimsy, especially that the drum has huge gaps coins get into, and the whole thing gets away with working for years just because the drum spins relatively slowly. Prior repair was changing the on/off door switch. I might get a few more years out of this dryer, but I will buy the cheapest LG dryer next time around. Believe in yourself, you'll get this easy DIY job done yourself, and especially if you are not under time pressure or have a helper.
