great amazing quality
amazing pencils, they work perfectly with blending and don’t snap or break easily, I did get them on a sale but still seemed expensive but it was worth the price to create beautiful artworks. sharpening does wear it down a lot so be careful when sharpening them, Would be a great gift for a friend who does art!! These have a big difference in blending capability compared to cheaper pencils!! used them in my final piece and was definitely worth it, still hasn’t ran out and contains a good range of colours to blend together

Lovely, lovely pencils.
I am a crafter not an experienced artist but I enjoy using colour in various media. I already own Derwent Inktense pencils and love them and the effects they produce. I decided I wanted to buy some regular colouring pencils too, specifically for colouring books. I took a look at Youtube for guidance and found Peta Hewitt's two videos comparing and demonstrating a range of different pencils from the staggeringly expensive Luminance pencils right down to Crayola. These were in her top half dozen and within my price range so I decided to go for the tin of 36 pencils. I love them. There is a good range of colours and they have behaved exactly as PH demonstrated. They blend well but they do have a waxy texture and this limits the number of layers that can be put down if you have a heavy hand; this does not affect my colouring attempts though. I bought separately the pack of two blender pencils, two burnishers, a sharpener and a rubber and, with the exception of the sharpener, these work brilliantly with the colours. I just use my old basic metal sharpener instead. I have a couple of slight gripes - I don't much like the red in this set because it's a bit dull tomato rather than a bright red and there's no dark green. However the pencils can be bought singly so I should be able to remedy that easily enough.

Great, soft pencils!
These are Excellent! I never took colored pencils seriously as a medium, but I have to rethink that with these. I also had problems with colored pencils being to hard and it was difficult to get clear and good color with them, but not with these. While many other colored pencils are hard like H pencils or harder, these are, as the name indicates very soft, like 6B grapite pencils. The color goes on very easily and is clear and bright. It's easy to make extra colors by blending, and the selection of colors is good in the 48 color box. The wooden box doesn't take up too much space on the table and looks great. Because they are so soft, you may need to sharpen them more often than hard pencils, and they may wear down faster. Also, because they don't keep their sharp point well, harder pencils may be better for very detailed work. Like other soft pencils, they can smudge if you drag your hand over the drawing. This doesn't matter to me at all because of how I use them, and is how I expeced soft pencils to behave. A wonderful tool for spontaneous drawing in full color.

My favourite
I doubt that people who are looking for Derwent pencils need a review. You probably know everything about each line pros-cons-applications and there’s no need in opinion from a third party. But here I am :) These (Coloursofts) are honestly my favorite pencils of all time. They are thicc and oily, pure pleasure to explore the colour palette. They are also very soft so you shouldn’t sharpen them too much. Best results can be achieved with soft short round tip; sharp tip will break. Layering is beautiful and with light pressure you can vary from thin to full coverage. Mixing is also easy and doesn’t require any additional blenders or burnishers. I am a rookie and find these easy to use and have fun doodling and drawing simple stuff.

Highly recommended
I've not used coloured pencils for many years but needed a set for a commission. I was guarded as to what to buy as my memory of them was that they were of a mixed quality depending on what you buy. I bought these on the strength of the reviews and I was not disappointed. The leads are soft enough to give a rich strong palette and can be carefully blended. With these I would always recommend working light to dark as the strength of colour needs to handled considerately but the results are great. Point to note... don't drop them! The leads are soft enough to break and I found using a scalpel to sharpen them was best. Very good set and the range of colours in the 72 set was good. Looking forward to the next drawing.

Soft as Butter
I bought these pencils about two weeks ago and I have been putting them to the test since. I find Derwent Coloursoft to be extremely soft, the colour lays very smoothly and layering with them is a pleasure. I think they work better on large areas because of their (relatively) large lead! I wanted to do the eyes of my model blue but before I did that, I had to shape the lead to a pointy tip. I had the chance to sharpen two of the pencils and so far they are holding well….no splits or breakage on the way. So far I am very pleased with them. The only observation I would make is to change the colors in the box….there were about 4 different types of gray but only 2 reds! However I would recommend these pencils, whether you need them to color your adult coloring book or your own art :)

Supers crayons !

He acertado de pleno.
