May Arts 3-Inch Wide Ribbon, Red Satin

I wanted something quick and cheap to decorate my home for Christmas. This is a nice bright red that I used to make bows, wrap around garlands, and put through patio fences. Quickly made the décor much more vibrant without spending a lot of money or time. The bows actually turned out really nice and I don't even know how to tie bows.

This ribbons color is beautiful. However the quality is horrible. It's not thick or substantial at all, rather thin instead. Not what I was expecting at all.Update - I used thie ribbon to hang a light straw wreath on my front door. After a week the ribbon ripped in half.

If I had been using this ribbon for a purpose other than royalty candidate sashes I would probably have been happier; however this is what I was using it for and it's a very thin ribbon and the edges "lettuce" a bit. I was able to iron the edges smooth but after one wearing it begins to "lettuce" again. I ironed on letters and that was successful; have had no lifting at all which has been a problem with other ribbons.

I use A LOT of ribbon from at least a dozen vendors. I have used cheap stuff, and $150.00 a roll stuff. So I know ribbon. This is by far the worst quality ribbon I have ever purchased. First, it is single faced, which is counterintuitive at such a width. Second, it is bias cut, meaning it is wavy and doesn't lay flat. Third, it is not champagne colored at all, it is gold. One yard into my spool there was a seam, so I expect a lot of wasted material if I'll be coming across seams every couple of yards. Don't waste your money.

This ribbon is a pale, soft, beautiful pink. The edges sort of curl when you unwind making it hang beautifully. Not great if your using for wrapping gifts, but fantastic for crafts and bows.
