This is a very unique toy.My daughter loves it! The wishamals are pretty cute.How it works is your child grabs a wishamal,puts it in the lantern ,and makes a wish.This is one of the few kids lantern toys that I've seen.My daughter loves it and uses it as a night light as well.This lantern toys makes for a fun birthday or Christmas gift.

This little set would be a great gift for children (old enough to not try to swallow little pieces) or anyone who needs a smile and loves cute things. It's got the blind box thing going with it for one of the little figures, features lovely world building and story telling with positive messages, and the lantern is absolutely adorable!The whole set feels very well thought out. You get a cute lil illustrated booklet, the lantern that lights once the safety tab is removed, whichever figure you chose and a tiny box holding a mystery guy. There's character info and the large box can be used as a small play area.I love how the lantern works. You pull gently on the bottom string to light and turn off the tiny bulb that the character sits atop. It can be hung off a hook or a string can be added to make it more ornament style. The design for where you put the characters is great, featuring a lil mechanism that slides their base forward for easy removal.If the figures have opaque bits, they don't glow or light up as brightly, but they're still really cute.Overall, I feel the lantern set is a bit better bang for your buck than the base with character and two blind boxes set. Maybe a smidge pricy, but adorable and well though out!

This is an honest reviews of a product that I received at no cost. The Lil Wish Lanterns Starter Pack comes with a lantern and two cute little figures. The figures fit in the lanterns that light up and flash. I read that some had issues with their lanterns but ours works well. They toys can be played with as is but there are also game codes included that can be used with the Lil Wish Lanterns app. The included codes match the toy figures so that you can play as the same characters in the game. My five year old loved both the toys and game! She's a little gamer but some young kids may need help with the game. The packaging has a real wow factor that makes this a toy worth gifting. We plan to buy more!

My daughter collects all different types of these small collectibles. She enjoys all different types so we had to try this new Lil Wish Lantern. This box is pretty neat both she and I are impressed. The box is decorated on all sides and is bright and inviting, it draws you in to want to check it out. Inside you get a lantern, that has a character in it. A little surprise box, 2 character cards that match the two characters you receive, I do suggest not looking at the card first if you want the box character to be a surprise. You also get a book at the bottom of the box which my daughter enjoyed as no other collectible like this has ever given a book and you also get a checklist to help keep track of your personal collection. The lantern of course is her favorite aspect. It has an on/off switch on the bottom and you pull the string at the bottom of the lantern to turn the light on. Both characters fit on the lantern and they give off a slightly different color when lit up. The light isn’t overly bright but enough for what it is. The box actually is designed on the inside as well and can act as a little play area. Overall I think this is a great box and the light-up lantern is so innovative I love the uniqueness. My daughter is already asking for more to add to her collection.

Every part of this set is fun to unpack. The box is vibrant and can be used as a play background (also a good box for just general small toy storage, etc.). It comes with a small book that's comic book sized but with thicker paper than a standard comic book. The lantern opens up and you can put your little figure inside then pull the on string to either have it light up or flash colored lights if on wish setting. The lights aren't super bright but enough to be visible. There's a surprise figure also and we're big fans of blind bags in my house so that's a great addition. It also comes with a little map (reverse side has all the items you can collect from the series) and two tokens to unlock characters in the corresponding app. We honestly probably won't use the character cards as I'm not a huge fan of just downloading all types of games but if anyone has the game already or wants to download it, that's a fun benefit. This would make an excellent gift for any kid who likes fantasy stuff. I would have loved it as a kid.

Love the adorable packaging and it acts as a fun playset to use with the toys. The lantern is seriously the cutest thing ever. The little toy characters can go in one at a time and be lit up inside the lantern. The string with the flower bead hanging down needs to be pulled and the little character glows. There are three settings, off, on (the little guy glows), and wish (lights up flashing different lights).The lantern set came with 2 characters with 1 out and seen and one in a box hidden like a blind box. Wish it had more characters. We are obsessed with the little monkey we got. He's absolutely adorable. My daughter is wanting more of course and I'm hoping there's a way to get more little characters.The book it comes with is gorgeous and full of color. It really brings the whole lil wish lantern toys to life. It's a really cute story and fun to read while they play. We love this new toy series and want more.

Bought as a Christmas gift. My daughter maybe pulled the string to light up the lantern 5 times? Probably less. Went to use it today and it doesn't work. Not impressed with something so expensive for what you get. Pretty box but a lot of empty space inside. Glad you can buy just the little figures now because I am not going to buy another lantern.
