Great would recommend.
I honestly haven't been able to fault anything this brand makes I replaced like for like after my kettle gave up Which was second hand and probably over 10 years old. Great price for how much it's used and how long they've been known to last. They are quite loud but not so noisy. It's disturbing. Easy to use the button lights up to show that it's on. One thing I would say is that I did prefer when it also lit up inside the kettle. This one doesn't have that feature. Reasonably energy efficient.

Quick Boil
It does boil in 45 seconds, a rapid boil, pours perfectly, it has a water window so you can easily see how many cups and an illuminated on/off switch. It doesn’t keep the water hot but I was aware of that when I bought it. There was clear instructions for first use. Also my tea seems to taste better. I would definitely recommend. Nice looking kettle and a good make.

Love this product.
This is the second time I have bought this kettle. Does what it does well - quick boil and is not loud. Matches my toaster!

Brushed steel, 3kw
Nice kettle, boils fully, pours really well with no spills. The base has rubber feet "Yes", this is a small thing but means no sliding about when you dock the kettle, little things matter. The orange indicators inside the kettle are a complete waste of time, could have saved some plastic there? At £29 I have no complaints. Ps you only have 28 days to register your kettle for the 3 year guarantee, it's easy to do online. REGISTER FOR YOUR 3 YEAR WARRANTY!

Good kettle at best price.
Review of the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric 1.7L Cordless Kettle I recently upgraded my kitchen with the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric Kettle, and it has quickly become a standout appliance. As someone who appreciates both form and function, this kettle strikes the perfect balance. The aesthetic is the first thing that impressed me. The brushed stainless steel finish with black accents is sleek, modern, and looks far more expensive than it is. It has a high-quality feel that elevates the look of my countertop, and the cordless design with a 360-degree base is incredibly practical for both left and right-handed users. Functionally, this kettle is a powerhouse. The 3kW element delivers on its "Fast Boil" promise, heating water in a matter of moments, which is a lifesaver on busy mornings. The 1.7L capacity is generous, easily making enough for a large family or for entertaining guests. The features are what truly set this kettle apart. The 'Perfect Pour' spout is a game-changer—it genuinely prevents drips and spills, which is something I've struggled with on countless other kettles. The push-to-open lid is another excellent design choice, making it easy and safe to fill, even with a single hand. Maintenance is also simple thanks to the removable, washable anti-scale filter. This not only ensures a clean cup every time but also helps to prolong the life of the appliance. Overall, the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric Kettle is a premium product without the premium price tag. It's a testament to thoughtful design and reliable performance. I highly recommend it for anyone in the market for a new kettle that is as stylish as it is efficient.

Very well thought-out kettle
This is an excellent and thoughtfully-designed kettle. It seems like the sort of appliance which is the result of a long evolutionary process of improvements to make it safer and easier to use. It seems to have been designed from the inside out by experienced people, rather than being something designed to look good but that falls short in practice. The centre-coupled base is solid and stays in place when lifting the kettle up and down, and the kettle slots into the connector with effortless ease, and from any angle, every time I put it on. This has not always been my experience with other kettles. The kettle feels solid and well-balanced whether empty or full. The handle is substantial and has a nice grip for me - full-sized man with large hands. Some features which stand out are: the pouring spout gives a really nice and accurate flow of boiling water. Never any spills. It also seems to have a safety feature in that no matter if you tip the kettle all the way over while pouring, the amount of water that comes out is always the same. I've had kettles that splash the water our too quickly if you're not careful: this one is very safe in this respect. It would be good for people with shaky hands for this reason. The lid pops up very nicely: wide open for filling, and then when you go to put the lid back down, the centre of the lid is a plastic disc, so if you're filling multiple kettles, the metal lid will not burn you when you close it after subsequent fillings. The on switch is a broad illuminated and textured tab at the base of the handle. I find I've occasionally switched it on inadvertently when wiping the countertop, but you see the light go on and it's easy just to flick it back up. It's a good size switch and has a reassuring click on and click off. Probably people with vision impairment would like that big switch. Nice. You can relatively easily see the level via the plastic window on the side. Also there are three red tabs inside the kettle so you can precisely measure out just one single cup if you want to save on electricity. It heats up very fast. It's noisy at first but after the water starts to get hot it quietens down. I don't mind the noise. I like a noisy kettle. Sounds reassuring. (At least you are never in any doubt that it's on.) Some reviews have mentioned a label that leaves a mark on the stainless steel after being pulled off. I had the label, it left the mark, but after a few days of use (perhaps the heat helped) and a few very casual wipes with some bog standard supermarket kitchen spray on a microfibre cloth, the label mark isn't there at all. I didn't even have to put any effort into removing it. (And I detest label marks so would have been the person to spend all night trying to get it off.) There's a little filter in the spout for calcium etc. deposits. I live in London and the water is full of that stuff, so the filter is starting to get cloudy. I can see there's a convenient thumb tab to remove it. Doubtless it would be clear again after spending the night in a shot glass of vinegar. Our previous kettle was one of those ubiquitous white plastic ones. It was rubbish. I'm glad it died, because this one is just great. I would not change a thing about this kettle. :)

Kettle suspect and Russell Hobbs Service disgraceful
This kettle developed a leak after one year of use, the water leaking from the level indicator. I had registered the item when I received it so it was supposed to be under guarantee until December 2027. I contacted Russell Hobbs in the UK since item was purchased from Amazon UK, to make a claim under the guarantee. First of all it takes them about a week to reply to emails then they referred me to a Greek Customer Service number as I am resident in Greece. I tried calling the number several times and got a message saying it was out of service and the Greek website also appears to be down. I got back in touch with Russell Hobbs UK asking them to escalate the issue to resolve but they just said they referred it to Greece again, assuring me they would reach out to me in a couple of days. As I suspected nobody contacted me from Greek Customer Service and I've again tried contacting UK office again, so probably have another week to wait for a response. Now been without the use of my kettle for four weeks. The service from Russell Hobbs so far has been shameful and they have not honoured the guarantee. They are very slow to respond and less than helpful when they do. There doesn't appear to be a telephone number for the UK office to speak directly with someone. I've subsequently discovered that other buyers have had similar issues with this product leaking, therefore I suggest people should choose another brand. Update: Advised by Russell Hobbs to contact seller Amazon. I did this and Amazon kindly gave me a full refund.

Cheap and not so cheerful
It's an OK kettle for the price, It boils quickly if rather noisily and pours perfectly, but I hate it. The water panel is on one side only which is the wrong side for me when filling it. The minimum marking is two cups which is next to useless for me and the only way to see how much water you have is to hold it up to the light and shake it because the panel is far from bring totally transparent. I found only the Bosch range at twice the price did what I wanted.
