I recommend to remove after 15 minutes with a warm, wet washcloth as it removes traces of the product much better than water alone (then finish with applying cold water to close pores). Furthermore, by doing this method it exfoliates the skin, which also helps brighten skin further. Applying this mask 2 times a week is more than enough. Overall very pleased as the ingredients are 100% natural, and alcohol free, so suitable for even sensitive skin. Use teaspoon to get the contents, as it is more hygienic, and will not leave behind any germs in the jar for future uses. (cleansing beforehand is not mandatory, but is preferred. A wonderful mask, I use it twice a week to keep my skin clear and soft. The consistency is lovely, like a thick whipped cream and the aroma is divine. It truly cleanses and replenishes the skin. I am a pale caucasian so I can't tell how much it whitens the skin, however I can definitely see a difference in brightness and skin tone after using it for about a month. I am truly pleased with this find, and I will re-order.
