Updated review: I now proudly own a total of 3 pairs. After 2 years, the original pair is still as good as new. Love them! Original review: Great quality and nice packaging. I originally ordered a size 44 for my recently purchased leather shoes (size 10 UK). The front fit well and seemed to flatten the leather marks. However, I had to battle in order to take it out of the shoes. It did not seem convenient for a daily usage, when coming back from / going to work. If you plan to use it for storage, great! Otherwise, order one size smaller. I actually returned the size 44 and re-ordered a size 43 instead. It's now perfect!

A bought these for my new Crocket and Jones shoes as I have never owned a pair of 'posh' shoes before and I wanted to do it properly. These Seeadler's shoe trees were 1/3 the price of the C&J ones offered to me in the shop. These shoe trees fit in the shoe perfectly and I have no regrets buying the cheaper trees compared to the branded ones. They are extremely well made and look like they will last a long while. To be fair, even if they don't then there is a lifetime guarantee! I am planning on getting another pair of these for my other (much less posh) shoes in order to extend their life.

The quality of these shoe trees is excellent. But I ordered the size 44 shoe trees for a pair of size EU 44 / UK 10 shoes and the shoes trees were too large.

Bought the appropriate sized tree for use with 10F and 10G Cheaney and Church shoes.I bought a pair of these and a pair of the similar German ones which were both highly rated in the reviews.I could not see the point of paying £80 plus for the branded products as I could not see any big gain for the extra money. This product seemed to be sturdy and well constructed and smooth in operation so quite a lot of good points. There were two places on the left shoe where there was a black sticky substance.l would have expected to see a white powdery coating but this was a surprise. However the main problem is that it was very difficult to get these into the shoes and when inserted it seemed to be too big at the front and put a lot of pressure at the back of the shoe.I tried it on a Loake 1880 and it was the same. l was going to return the product but I tried it on a pair of Magnani size 10 with a pointed toe and it fitted perfectly so I will use it on that type of shoe. Good product really but l would use the alternative product for British derbies as that fitted well.

My first feedback on an amazon purchase, but good quality, good price and a very unexpected letter though the post from the makers asking about the product and if was happy etc. It was this that prompted me to leave positive feedback. Would recommend the product also :-)

These shoe trees just scream quality, and fit wonderfully, with the spring at the back making inserting and removing them extremely easily. They fit my shoes to size, without seeming too tight a fit.

When you open the box the smell of cedar oil they’ve applied to the packaging is overpowering and unnecessary. At first glance all the knots in the wood make these shoe trees look low quality or like factory seconds. The real disappointment is all the sharp edges and rough patches. I had to spend 10 minutes sanding these to make them acceptable, and I still missed a little bit that left a considerable scratch mark along my insole. The shape is fine- probably a bit too thick on the instep, though- but I’m mainly just disappointed by the quality and finish. I would buy a different brand next time.

Love these. The smell is sublime and the finish really really good. If you are wearing smart and expensive shoes daily these are an absolute must to keeping them in pristine condition. You will not regret choosing these ones- having bought a couple of different ones these were my favourites. Up your game and treat your shoes to these!
