This tool is a great design. Works great as a punch. Being able to use the short side makes it so much versatile. Been a carpenter for 20 years and never liked using punches because of different sizes of nails and punches compatibility. This is by far the best one that I actually carry in my pouches now

One of my favorite tools for finish carpentry. This is a quality punch and I never miss. Finally a punch that fits in my tool rig. Money well spent and nobody else on job site has one like it.

This nailset is one of the best purchases I have made. I do primarily trim carpentry. Major assets: The length allows easier usage in tight spots makes it easier to grab out of my tool belt, and gives it better "handle". Also, the large rectangular head provides a large target for the hammer and the point is larger than most nailsets which makes slippage less likely. Great tool.

So much more useful than a regular nail punch

So, I needed to countersink what felt like a million nails on my deck refinish job. What I like about this punch is you can is the long end or short end as the punch. I liked the short end since my hand was off to the side and everything was closer to the nail and easier to strike. As other reviews have stated, this tool appears to have softer metal and with all the nails I did, it was pretty much no good after I finished (hundreds of nail heads). That said, it was a great tool for my needs.

It’s nice and beefy which is great for me. Al the nailsets I’ve ever purchased in the US are always too hard and brittle. They usually break the first time I try to set a nail with one. This one seems softer (I can see light hammer marks from when I struck it) but still more than hard enough for its purpose. Four stars because it does have a very rough finish, though that’s not a huge deal and doesn’t affect the functionality at all of this tool Update: going on almost a year of very frequent use as a professional trim carpenter, and other than it being dinged up a little from constantly thwacking it with a hammer, it’s still not chipped at all. Very pleased with it. It sinks brads and frame nails with ease. I previously gave it four stars because of the very rough finish on it, but I’ve since changed my mind about that since it’s a non-issue and doesn’t affect the tool in any way other than cosmetically. Update 5/8/2025: I dropped it off a ladder at work and now it’s gone. Next day, it’s not where I dropped it. Someone around this jobsite’s got sticky fingers.

Use it lengthwise to get to those hard-to-reach nails, but the best is when you use the short end so you can keep your fingers away so you don't risk the hammer hitting them! Such a good design.

Excellent quality tool! Perfect for reaching hard to reach nail heads. I needed a punch for doing siding. Some nails are hard to reach with the hammer. This punch is perfect for the job.
