What is the warranty with this mixer when bought via Amazon?

Honestly - the warranty is worth NOTHING. Read the reviews - the plastic ring continually breaks - then try getting a replacement under this 'warranty'. It is impossible to get hold of anyone from customer service, and if you are lucky enough to do so, it will take a couple of months to get the very cheap plastic part during which time you have no use of the machine. The alternative is to spend another £20 every few months buying it yourself to avoid the stress. Do yourself a favour and walk away now!

My kmix glass mixing bowl threaded ring was broken. is it possible to get a new one?

Mine broke too, you can buy one off Amazon, that's what i did, they cost about £13 but i also told kenwood about it and they sent me a replacement

It has the union flag on it. is it made in the uk or is this basically a lie?

A clever marketing ploy. Designed and engineered in the UK. But actually made in China

Does the machine move around when kneading dough?

Yes it does. You could not leave it to mix as I found not only did it move, but you will also need to stop the machine to help mix the dough as it does not collect all the ingredients.
